My favourite inventor is Wang Xuan. As we all know, Wang Xuan was one of the most famous computer scientists and inventors. He invented the technology for printing Chinese characters. As a result, he is known as "The Father of the Chinese Language Laser Typesetting (激光排版)". 

Since there is a big difference between Chinese and English writing systems (系统), laser typesetting for the Chinese language was a serious problem for scientists all over the world. For this reason, Wang Xuan decided to try to come up with a solution (解决办法). In 1975, he began researching laser typesetting and electronic publishing (电子出版) systems for Chinese. He was not afraid to try new technology, and although he didn't have success all the time, he never gave up. He is believed to be the second most important developer in printing Chinese after Bi Sheng. Now, Wang Xuan's amazing invention is used all over the world, and it has been especially helpful to the Chinese newspaper publishing industry. 

Wang Xuan was not only a great modern scientist but also a great role model for many young people. We middle school students should learn from him. His life story teaches us that a person should follow his own dream and try his best to make it come true. 

Once upon a time，in a forest far away，there lived a group of animals. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}them were a fox，a  rabbit and a panda. They were good friends and spent most of their time together. 

One day，they{#blank#}2{#/blank#}to build a house for themselves. The fox advised them to build it in the hole of a tree so that they could{#blank#}3{#/blank#}warm and clean on rainy days. The rabbit advised them to build it near the middle of the forest. It would be{#blank#}4{#/blank#}for them to hide from danger. The panda advised them to build it near the river. Then，they could drink water{#blank#}5{#/blank#}they want. 

The animals were talking for hours. {#blank#}6{#/blank#}to agree on the best location for their house. As they{#blank#}7{#/blank#}，a wise old bird flew down to them and asked them what the position was. 

The animals explained their{#blank#}8{#/blank#}to the bird and the bird listened carefully. After thinking for a few moments，the bird said. "My dear friends，you all have your own points，but you are forgetting one important thing. You are a team，and as a team，you must work together to solve this problem. "

The bird advised them to build their house in a place that was in a hole in a tree，that was in the middle of the forest and{#blank#}9{#/blank#}to the river. 

The animals listened to the bird's advice and worked together to build their house in a place that{#blank#}10{#/blank#}all their needs. From that day on，they worked as a team and never argued again. 

Last year, my friends and I went on a trip. We started early in the morning and traveled for several {#blank#}1{#/blank#}on a bus. When we arrived, everyone was tired.

While we were getting off the bus, I noticed a young man, probably in his early twenties, standing very close to one of my friends. Suddenly I realized that he was trying to {#blank#}2{#/blank#}my friend's wallet from her bag! I {#blank#}3{#/blank#}really nervous, but I knew I had to take action to stop him. Luckily, I saw two police officers standing {#blank#}4{#/blank#}and got an idea. So I fell over and cried out painfully. The police officers heard that and came over to help. When they were by my side, I told them what was {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. They caught the thief right away.

After that, we thanked the police officers and went on with our trip happily
