Paul Lacy and his wife Dorothy Lacy are Americans. They are in their seventies. They have an embroidery workshop (刺绣工厂)in Hunan.

The first time Dorothy went to Fenghuang was on a trip in 1999, and she fell in love with the old town and the Miao culture. In the following year, Paul and Dorothy decided to do something. With the help of a Chinese friend, the Lacys had their embroidery workshop in Fenghuang four years later.

After Paul and Dorothy sold their things in America in 2006, the Lacys started to live in Fenghuang. At first, the Lacys had a hard time because of the language. When they went shopping, they had to show the sellers pictures of what they wanted. As time went by, they made friends with the Miao people living there.

Before they lived in Fenghuang, the two went to many places of China. For example, they traveled to cities, such as Beijing, Xi'an and Guiyang. "Among all those places, we like Fenghuang best because of its beautiful and quiet environment and the rich culture of the Miao people. What's more, Dorothy thinks that the clothes of the Miao people are really beautiful. But it is the kindness of the people here that attracts (吸引）us the most. So we decided to live here," Paul said.

Mrs. Morris lives on the top floor of our building. Every afternoon，she sits in a chair near the door of1 building. She always wears a smile and listens to me when I tell her about my days at school. 

One Tuesday，I ran into the building and hoped 2 my day with her，but her usual chair was empty. 

I looked for Mr. Low and asked what3 to Mrs Morris. "Oh，dear. Mrs. Morris is not feeling well 4 she is staying in bed today. "Mr. Low said. I wondered what I could do to make Mrs. Morris feel better. 

When Mom heard the news，she suggested making cookies 5 Mrs. Morris. We took out flour，sugar and butter. Maybe they 6 really make her better. 

When the cookies 7 ，we decided to visit Mrs. Morris without telling her. Mrs. Morris opened the door，looking surprised but 8 to see us. "Mrs. Morris，we bring 9 some healthy cookies，"I said. "We hope you feel better soon. "

"10 thoughtful gift!I feel better already!"Mrs. Morris smiled and said.

Trekking tours(徒步旅行) We have trekking holidays to famous places such as Machu Picchu or the Everest Base Camp Trek. You'll have a great time enjoying nature with a group of new friends. Some of the holidays include camping, but we will give the camps to you!

 The new school term is starting. It's time to put on your school uniform and go to school. For most Chinese pupils, wearing a school uniform is a part of everyday life. But in France, it's a different story!

In France, students usually wear their own clothes to school. But now, about 100 schools in France want their students to wear uniforms. Why? It's because French students are not interested in studying. 

 Schools think that uniforms can help. If everyone wears the same uniforms, students will study hard. Uniforms can also help students feel like they are part of the same team and get along better. They could help make a better place for study.
