Dora and Annie were called to the teacher's office for breaking the glass apple on Mrs.Marley's desk.They sat opposite Mr.Barlow and they looked quite nervous.

"Would either of you like to explain what happened？"Mr.Barlow asked.

Dora took a deep breath，"I was looking at Mrs.Marley's glass apple.The sun was shining on it，and it made a rainbow on the desk.I thought the rainbow would get bigger if we moved the apple."

"So you moved it？"Mr.Barlow asked.

Dora pointed at Annie. "She did it，but the rainbow got smaller.I tried to get the apple back，but it fell on the floor and broke."

"Thank you，Dora.Annie，tell me what happened in your own words

"Dora said she wanted to make the rainbow bigger，so I told her how my sister used a sun catcher to make a rainbow on the ceiling.I tried to show her that，but she said the rainbow was getting smaller and she could do it better.She tried to take it

"It was not!" Dora cried angrily.

Mr.Barlow stood up."Do you want to know what I think？" "Yes!" They said.

"I think Dora wanted to make the rainbow bigger and Annie tried to help." "Exactly!" Annie said.

"Not so fast，"Mr.Barlow said. "Annie，you thought you could make the rainbow better，and the apple fell and broke.Does that sound right？"

"So，we're both to blame，"Dora said.

"Yes.The real blame isn't in who broke the apple，"Mr.Barlow said. "It was in the fact that you both touched something that didn't belong to you."

"I guess we did，"Annie said.

"We should say sorry to Mrs.Marley，"Dora added.

"I think you both learned a valuable lesson，"Mrs.Marley said，smiling in the doorway.

Julio is a 30﹣year﹣old Swiss educator. He has a collection of clovers（三叶草）. It just might make him the world's {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（lucky） man. 

Clovers with more than three leaves stand for good luck in many cultures. If a person's luck{#blank#}2{#/blank#}（consider） in the number of such clovers，Julio would almost undoubtedly has the most luck. He {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（collect）3，467 four﹣，five﹣

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} first four﹣leafed clover he picked was with his grandfather. He'll never forget that first experience. His most prolific（多产的） period was {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the ages of 25 and 30，and filled his time by walking through the countryside. There were days when he found 50 clovers and more. His personal {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（day） record stands at 200 clovers with at least four leaves. 

Talking about his collected clovers，Julio said that，on average（平均），000 {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（plant），only one has four leaves，out of 100，you're likely to find just one with five leaves，and six﹣leafed clovers are about one in two million（百万），they are so rare all over the world. 

Julio just enjoys going on walks. {#blank#}8{#/blank#}whenever he sees a clover patch（一小块地），he spends a few minutes combing（搜寻） it carefully with his eyes and fingers {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（search） for rare clovers. 95 times out of 100，he finds at least one item for his ever﹣growing collection. 

The clover collector says that with the world around him moving at a faster speed every day，stopping to look for lucky clovers gives him some time for {#blank#}10{#/blank#}（he），in the middle of nature.

A husband and wife moved to a new apartment. The apartment had a beautiful view(景色) of the neighboring building. Every 1 , the wife would look out of the window to see what was happening in the neighborhood.

"I challenge Lina," Isabel said. Lina smiled and dribbled out on the field 7 Isabel. They both took their shots. Lina' s ball was closer than before but still missed.

One by one, my teammates all picked Lina. Lina's shots got better but still missed. If I kept missing, I'd probably cry. But she didn't look8 !
