Jim is a boy in China. He has some pen friends around the world. He like writing to and receiving their letters in return. He started writing to his first pen-friend, Thomas Wright from America when he was 10 years old. They have been writing to each other tor 2 years now.
Jim also has five other pen friends.They are from Japan,Korea,Thailand,Australia and Canada. He got their names and addresses from various sources: the International Pen Friend Clu the Look and Learn magazines and newspapers.
Jim enjoys writing to people from other countries because he finds it interesting to learn more about those countries and the different cultures and customs. He hopes to visit his pen friends some day. In the meantime, he will continue writing to them and enjoying their friendship. He will also try to look for pen friends from other countries.
Needless to say(不用说), all the letters of Jim and his friends are written in English-the international language.
