Little George lived in a poor village. One summer day George's mother sent him to the field to pick up some dried wood for the fire.

George worked very hard. By the time the sun was high, he was very hot and wished for a cool place to rest and have some food. As he walked along, he found some shade, and by it were some fine, wild strawberries. "How good these will be with my bread and butter," thought George. He picked up all of the strawberries. As he was lifting the first strawberry to his mouth, he remembered his sick mother, alone in her dark, cold room in the village.

With this in mind, he put the strawberry back. "Shall I save them for her?" he asked himself.

He thought how refreshing they would be for her, yet was still looking at them with a longing eye.

"I will eat half, and take the other half to her," he said. He divided them into two heaps(堆), but each heap looked so small. He put them together again.

"I will only eat one," he thought.

But, as he again lifted it to his mouth, he saw that he had taken the finest, and he put it back.

When the sun was beginning to sink, George set out for home. How happy he felt that he had all his strawberries for his sick mother.

He heard his mother's faint voice calling him, "Is that you, George? I am glad you have come back. I am thirsty, and I want some water."

George ran to her and joyfully offered his wild strawberries.

"And you kept them for me, didn't you?" said she, laying her hand softly on his head, with tears in her eyes.

Could the eating of the strawberries have given George half the happiness he felt at this moment?

②The wife asked the husband when she was 25. Despondently (沮丧地), the husband replied, "I missed a new job chance."

③When she was 35, the husband angrily told her that he had just missed the bus.

④At the age of 45, the husband sadly said, "I missed the chance seeing my close relative before his last breath."

⑤At 55, the husband said disappointedly, "I missed a good chance to get more money."

⑥At 65, the husband hurriedly replied, "I missed visiting my dentist."

⑦At75, the wife did not ask the husband any more. She was very sick. Remembering the question the wife used to ask him, this time the husband asked the wife the same question.

⑧The wife with a smile and peaceful look, replied, "In this life, I did not miss having you!"

⑨The husband was full of tears. He always thought they could be together forever. He was always busy with work and other things. He had never thought of his wife. The husband gave a big hug to the wife and said, "Over 50 years, how I had allowed myself to miss your deep love for me!"

⑩Life does not last forever, so always live in the now. Don't miss the loved ones who care for you. Express your thankfulness to your loved ones in words. Show your love with actions. Treat every day as the last day of life. In this way, when you are gone, your loved ones would have nothing to feel sorry about.

A 70-year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 23-year-old son who had just finished college. Suddenly a crow stayed on their window. The father asked his son, "What is this? The son replied, "It is a crow." After a few minutes, the father asked for the second time. The son said, "Father, I have just told you it is a crow."

After a little while, the old father asked his expression of anger was felt in the son's tone when he said to his father, "It is a crow, a crow." A few seconds later, the father asked his son again. This time the son shouted at his father. "Why do you keep asking me again and again, although I have told you so many times IT IS A CROW?"

Later, the father went to his room and came back with an old diary, which he had kept since his was born. When the son read it, he saw the following words: Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him 23 times that it was a crow, I did not feel angry, but I was glad for his innocence(天真).

After reading these, the son came to know he shouldn't look on his father as a hard task when he was old, and from then on, he tried to be nice to his father.

My name is David. I am a student in PEP Middle School. This is my room. My hat is on the chai. It's a brown hat. I like the color. My clock is on the table. Where are my keys? Oh, they are on the sofa. My books are in the bookcase. My notebook is in the bookcase, too. My watch and my pencil box are on the desk. And my ID card is in the pencil box. 

I have a good friend at school. His name is Tony. We are not in the same class. I like sports. Tony likes sports, too. He has three ping-pong balls, four basketballs and six baseballs. He doesn't have a soccer ball. Tony loves soccer, but he doesn't play it-he only watches it on TV. 

Mother's Day is always a fun time at my house every year. This year is no exception. My brother and I want our mom to feel 1 by giving her a day off from family chores.

It was such a 9 day，and it was great to be able to show my mom how much we appreciate her and thank her for10 she does for our family. Mother's Day should be every day.
