①Almost everyone has a question or two about living in space. What is life really like in space? And what do astronauts do there?

②Astronauts living in space have the same hygiene needs as people do on Earth. They wash their hair, brush their teeth and go to the bathroom as well when they wake up. However, because of micro-gravity (微重力), astronauts take care of themselves in different ways. For example, they use a kind of special tool to wash their hair and use leg restraints (腿部固定装置) to set themselves when they use the washing room. 

③Astronauts eat three meals a day: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some food can be eaten in the natural form, such as fruit. There are no fridges in space, so space food must be kept in a good way to avoid going bad. 

④Besides morning routine (常规) and eating in space, astronauts also need to do many tasks, such as checking the machines, updating (更新) computer information and so on. At the same time, the control center on Earth sends messages to the astronauts through voice or email to help them in their daily routines. 

⑤What's more, living in space is not just all work and no play. A popular way of relaxation is looking out of the window. And they can also enjoy themselves by watching movies, reading books, playing cards and talking to their families during their free time. 

①Tom lived with his grandfather, who is regarded as the wisest man in the village. Many people went to grandfather for advice or help. 

②One day, Tom saw three men walking together. They found a single-log（独木）bridge halfway, below which there was a deep river. 

③The first man didn't hesitate（犹豫）to step on the bridge and he made it to the other side of the river. The second man came close to the bridge. When seeing the deep river, he was so afraid that he made no move. Encouraged by the first man, he put his feet on the bridge. Although his right foot was hurt in the middle of the bridge, he got there safely. But the third man was the least brave to cross the river. It was getting dark. Behind him were some hungry wolves, he felt hopeless. But he had to be brave to cross the river. Only after a few steps, he fell into the river. 

④Seeing the puzzled look on Tom's face, grandfather said sincerely（由衷地，语重心长地）, "When in difficulties, the more time it takes to hesitate, the higher price you'll have to pay."

When shopping for clothes, my mother and I have always disagreed on what fits me well. To me, if it zips, it fits. My mom, however, usually tells me I need a bigger size.

When I was a teenager, I wanted to dress like my friends, but my body size made it impossible. When mom told me something didn't suit me, or I needed a bigger size, all I heard was that my body was wrong.

To avoid arguments, we stopped going shopping together. This continued until I got engaged(订婚) last year and needed to buy some clothes. When I tried on a blouse, my mother looked at me, and I knew what was coming. "You need a bigger size," she said.

There was no bigger size. I tried to hold back my tears. Maybe I could buy it alone, of course, but my mom is my favorite person to hang out with. The idea of looking for a wedding dress without her seemed just as scary as taking her with me.

And so the day came. As I tried on a simple white dress, I saw tears in my mom's eyes. "You look beautiful! " she told me. Nothing could have shocked me more.

This one didn't zip up at the back and I did actually need a bigger size, but my mother didn't say that. She just told me how beautiful I looked. In that moment, all the arguments in the past ended. We didn't buy a dress that day.

We decided to see more, which I would never have predicted.

A few weeks later, we found the perfect dress. We both loved it as soon as I put it on. And during those few weeks, mom and I also found the perfect fit for our shopping relationship.

The winter holiday is coming. There are so many things I am looking forward to doing! I can't wait! {#blank#}1{#/blank#}

First, I am going to return to my hometown. My hometown is in the north of China. I am going back to my hometown to visit my grandparents. I haven't seen them for a long time! I will spend the Spring Festival in my hometown, so I can visit my relatives and friends during the Spring Festival. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

Second, I want to go on a trip. I haven't travelled for several years, so visiting interesting places will make me relaxed. I would like to visit Shanghai with my parents. 

Third, I am going to help with the housework. Usually, my mother does most of the housework, so I seldom do housework. She is busy with her work and housework, so she is very tired every day. During the winter holiday, I will help my mother wash dishes and clean the house. 

What's more, I need to do sports, which can keep me healthy. I will have enough time to play badminton with my friends.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} I am going to run around the lake every morning.
