Iceland is a northern European （欧洲的） country with amazing natural beauty and oceans around, and there are lots of volcanoes （火山） in the country. It has a short summer which just lasts from June to August, while its long winter lasts from September to May.

Summer is a golden season for tourists in Iceland, so every year people from all over the world come here to see the beautiful sights and enjoy the exciting whale-seeing. In winter, tourists also have a lot of special activities to spend the long dark night here. Skating, riding snow motorbikes and having parties can all make an exciting night. However, a hot bath will be the first choice for most tourists. There are also story-telling activities for children, which can teach them to be friendly and kind.

But food problem was always a headache for Iceland in the past because Iceland has a short growing season, so it had to buy most of its food from other countries. Luckily, things have changed a lot. Now its farmers use lights and underground heat to grow crops all year round in the greenhouse.

In such a nice environment, most people in Iceland, live a happy life.
