I'm Dick. I have a good friend. His 1 name is Liu. His given name is Yihong. He comes from Zhongshan. He is 15 2 old. He is a tall boy. He has a round face, a small nose and two big ears. His parents are 3 . They work on a farm in Hunan. So he 4 his grandmother and his little sister. He is 5 and he often helps others, so he has many friends.

We know that the fisherman is a kind but weak-willed person from this story. He listened to his wife all the time and never refused his wife. His wife {#blank#}5{#/blank#} got enough. It's not wrong to dream a good life, but you will get nothing if you are too greedy. That's why most greedy people are always poor.

Kiran Alwy, 13, went home with 10,000 dollars in prize money after winning on Food Network's Chopped Junior, a popular cooking show in the US.

On the show, Alwy made lemonade, Lobster tail（龙虾尾）and white chocolate macaroni （通心粉）and cheese into a lobster mac and cheese. She also made a beautiful salad topper. Her ability to improvise（即兴创作）helped make her a winner.

Learning to cook became important to Alwy after her parents got divorced（离婚）. "I kind of had to cook for myself. My mom can't really cook," Alwy said.

Alwy learned her kitchen skills from her father, Moid, and her grandmother, who taught her how to make traditional Pakistani dishes when she was 8. Her parents let her start using the stove while they watched her. Moid taught her how to correctly use a knife. Alwy would practice her skills by following recipe from meal kits.

"The kits helped me learn a few skills," Alwy said. "I also learned how to improvise according to different recipe because I saw what ingredients（食材）were in things. The important thing is having your own idea."

At her dad's house in St. Louds Park, Alwy would try cooking with whatever they had on hand. "If we had ground beef in the fridge, I knew how to make a dish quickly," she said.

Outside of the kitchen, Alwy has the busy life of a middle-schooler. She swims and plays the cello. She hangs out with friends, gets good grapes and watches TV—mostly cooking shows.

Huang Wenxiu is one of the role models of the times. A TV play—The Daughter of The Mountain told us her story. It has received lots of praise from viewers online.

When Huang was in college, the problem of serving her hometown came to her. After graduating from Beijing Normal University, Huang moved to Baise, her hometown. She said, "I grew up in a mountainous area where quite a number of people live in poverty (贫穷). And all I wish is to do my part to change their life."

But Huang soon discovered that her job was not easy. She had been concerned about the village development for a long time. It took her two months just to visit the 195 poor families through the village.

Huang encouraged villagers to plant sugar oranges, and she helped them learn about how to sell their products online. Thanks to Huang's hard work, 418 villagers finally broke away from poverty.

But sadly, on June 16, 2019, Huang lost her life at the age of 30 because of a flash flood (暴洪).After she passed away, the mountains and rivers there will not forget her, and the people there will not forget her.

Joris Hutchison is thirteen years old and he's from America. He loves cheetahs (猎豹). When he hears that there {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(be) only about 7,000 cheetahs in {#blank#}2{#/blank#} world and that they are in great{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (danger), Joris Hutchison is upset and he wants to do something. 

With his {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(mother) help, he works with a wildlife sanctuary (野生生物保护区) in Namibia, a country in Africa. He {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (help) to get money by selling things like T-shirts {#blank#}6{#/blank#} flowers. He also has parties to get money. 

Joris uses the money to buy special collars (项圈) {#blank#}7{#/blank#} cheetahs. In Namibia, farmers kill cheetahs because they are afraid that the big cats may eat their farm {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(animal). With the collars farmers can {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(know) where cheetahs are. 

In summer, Joris {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(usual) goes to work at the sanctuary with his mother. He says, "We need to tell people that we can do something about it."
