Mobile phones are becoming more and more popular not only with adults but also with students.However，they have also become a problem for middle schools in the last few years.Some children get mobile phones as Christmas or birthday gifts，and more of them ask their parents to buy for them.

Many students like mobile phones because they are so useful and enable them to do a lot of things.Some parents feel it convenient because they can get in touch with（联系）their children.Some teachers think using mobile phones is a distraction （分心的事） to students during school hours and that mobile phones also give them much trouble in their classrooms.Sometimes students send phone messages to cheat（作弊） during exams.A new study says that some teenagers even hurt their fingers because of the over﹣use of mobile phones.They keep using mobile phones for more than ten hours a day.

Many teachers suggest that students should not have phones at school，but if there is a good reason they can leave their phones at the school office.Many people think they understand why parents want their children to have mobile phones，but they agree that schools should let students know when they can use them.In school，they shouldn't be allowed to take their phones to the classrooms.Besides，strict rules about using phones at school should be made.

With International Museum Day coming up, today we are asking readers: Should museums be free or should people have to pay for a ticket? Let us know your views. 

Museums are not only there for enjoyment; they are educational. This is why they must be free. While museums need a huge amount of money to stay open, let the rich pay for it. The idea that a person or a child interested in art isn't able to enjoy it because of the cost is wrong.

Free tickets do not attract (吸引) more people or encourage them to treasure art. People treasure things that are difficult or costly to get. Museums should require regular visitors to pay a fee, but provide free tickets as prizes for high- achieving students who can treasure art more.

A visit to the old city of Petra in Jordan is an amazing experience (奇妙的经历). Around the city, there are mountains with many pink rocks (岩石). To get to the mountains, tourists walk for over a kilometre through a narrow hole (狭窄的洞) in the rock. Then they come to a large building in the side of a cliff (悬崖). Petra has many of these beautiful rock- cut buildings, and they make the city famous. 

Two thousand years ago, Petra was a busy and noisy place. People came from far away to buy and sell in the market places. Later, the city became rich. At one time, more than 30, 000 people lived there. But the pink rocks were not as safe as they looked. Earthquakes (地震) made many of the buildings fall down. As the year went by, people couldn't come and live there any more. Finally, the world forgot the city of Petra. 

In 1812, a Swiss traveller called Johann Burckhardt heard about the lost city. Local people told him that it was in the mountains, and someone took him there. When Burckhardt went back to Europe, he wrote about Petra and people started visiting the city. 

▲  More than a million tourists go there every year. People sell postcards and cold drinks there. There are museums, shops and restaurants, but nobody lives there. At night, the old city is quiet again. 

If you visit Wuppertal, Germany, make sure you take the Schwebebahn. It's a railway that runs for 13 kilometres and carries over 80,000 passengers(乘客) every day.

The Schwebebahn travels in a very different way. Its 24-metre-long train doesn't run on the track(轨道), but under it. The track is 12 metres above the river, so as the train goes over the city, passengers can enjoy the exciting sights freely.

The Schwebebahn didn't come easy. In the 1880s, the traffic in Wuppertal was so busy that the government had to develop a new way of travelling. At that time, a man named Eugen Langen was trying a railway under the track to carry products for his company. It was successful so later Eugen put this idea into the Schwebebahn. In that way, the space above the River Wupper got fully used. It turned out to be a very good choice.

The Schwebebahn gives special travel experiences to passengers. Its stations are as beautiful as art museums, so passengers won't be bored while waiting in the stations. A classical train also offers all kinds of services, such as food and drinks. What's more, people can book this train to have parties or even get married in the air! They will never forget this one- hour journey in the air.

Now the Schwebebahn is more than a railway for Wuppertal. It is a symbol of the city.
