Today many parents worry about their children's diets(饮食). But what is a health y diet for children? Miss Jones from Happy Children Hospital gives some advice(建议):

Children shouldn't eat food with too much salt because it can cause high blood pressure (高血压). 

Children should eat food with less fat, oil and sugar. They should not eat too much junk food like instant noodles(方便面), potato chips(薯片), prunes(梅干), ice creams and cola. 

Fruits and vegetables are rich in vitamins(维生素). So children need to eat them often. 

Water is important to everyone. Children need to drink about eight glasses of water every day.

Ever wondered why a simple walk along the beach or a moment by a lakeside feels so relaxed? Or why the sound of a flowing river can calm the mind? There's a scientific reason behind our strong feeling for water.

According to Wallace J. Nichols, being close to water can cause a certain state(状态) of mind. The scientist call it"Blue Mind". This state is marked by relaxation and a sense of happiness.

This theory is well supported by science. Researchers have found that water can lower the body's levels of the stress hormone(压力荷尔蒙). One study found that people living near bodies of water report feeling calmer and less stressed. The sight and sound of water are believed to bring about a flood of neurochemicals(神经化学物质), which can increase blood flow to the brain and heart, and help you relax.

Water activities, from swimming to even watching animals in the sea, can help calm the mind and reduce stress levels. In addition, the blue color of water has also been proven to have calming effects on the mind. Research shows that blue spaces are as helpful as green spaces ( like forests and parks) when it comes to creating feelings of love. They can both improve mood. What if it's hard to get water? Even listening to the sound of water can help reduce stress levels.

So, the next time you' re feeling down or in need of a break, consider spending time near a body of water. Whether it's the ocean, a river, a lake, or simply a swimming pool, water will calm your mind.

Meiyu, is from Turkey (土耳其). She is the youngest child of her family. After high school, many people decided to learn English or Japanese, but Meiyu decided to learn Chinese in university. She learnt Chinese for four years in Ankara University in Turkey, and got her Chinese name Meiyu there. 

Meiyu fell in love with Chinese after going to university. She became more interested after she knew more about Chinese history. In the beginning, many people did not understand her decision. But they all said Meiyu had made a right choice when she graduated from university. Because at that time, more Chinese have been visiting Turkey. The trade between the two countries also requires Chinese- speaking people. "Being able to speak Chinese means more job opportunities, " said Meiyu. 

And then she worked in Wuhan, China. Besides going on studying Chinese, she showed great interest in Chinese kung fu as well, so she spent her free time on kung fu training with her coaches. Not only could kung fu help improve her health, but its history and culture also attracted(吸引) Meiyu. Meiyu said, "The moreI know about China, the luckier I feel to have been here. But the truth is that fun and pain go together in the process of learning. "

After Meiyu worked in China for two years, her friends wanted her to stay in China, but her parents hoped she could go back home. Meiyu thought it was difficult to decide. "Even if I go back to Turkey, I will choose Chinese language education as my job, " said Meiyu.
