During the second year in high school,Ben Cloud took a few business classes.He 1 an idea of selling his own brand of coffee.So he 2 on the Internet and learned about all of the 3 of starting a business.It all seemed 4 but he continued to stick it out.

He began testing different 5 of coffee with his friends and family.He got feedback and improved his product.As he had only a little bit of 6 from his birthdays and odd jobs over the years,he 7 several designers to help him with his logo and website design.Then,he would supply them with coffee in 8 for their design talent! 

After 9 his website,Ben started to sell his coffee at his local high school coffee shop.Then a restaurant.Then local shops.He does have plans to 10 nationally as well.And Ben also made a decision early on to 11 a portion of his profits to benefit others.Meanwhile,Ben received great support from his friends and his community for his 12 and energy.And his good coffee! 

Looking to the 13 beyond his business,he is considering college in a way that will allow him to continue with his business but also 14 from a college experience and learning.Ben Cloud is a 15 example of a young person making every effort to become the best version of himself.

 "Mommy!"I called over my shoulder. "Grace is here!" Our neighbor, Grace, stood on our front door holding a cardboard box. 

It took Mom a few minutes to get to the front door. At forty-two, her health wasn't good. She smiled at our next-door neighbor. "Come in and have a cup of coffee." "I can't stay, Nancy," Grace answered. "I just thought you all might be able to use some of this food. We get more at those giveaways than we can use." I felt relieved that Grace couldn't stay. She was friendly enough, but she and her husband drank a lot and they were given to loud arguments late at night. Sometimes, the police had to come and break up the fights. I was a little frightened of them. Grace placed the box on the kitchen table. Mom, who was not the sentimental type, got tears in her eyes."Grace! We can't take this."

Dad wandered in from the bedroom where he had been napping. He wasn't dealing very well with the unemployment at the processing plant. "We don't accept charity," he said. "Now, Jim," said Grace, "this is no time for your pride. You have two little girls and a sick wife to think of. This isn't charity. It's one neighbor helping another." I stood a little distance from the grownups, looking into each of their faces, wondering what was going to happen next. "I thank you kindly," Dad said at last.

When she was gone, we examined the contents of the box. It wasn't what we were used to. Mom smiled and said, "This will get us through for a couple of weeks." The gesture from Grace confused me because she wasn't family, or close friends with us. Even though I didn't like most of the food in that box, I knew there was something significant about this woman's generosity. She didn't have much to give, but she gave what she had at a time when our family needed help.

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon. My husband was taking care of our baby girl so that my six-year-old son and I could do some yard work, just the two of us. It was sure to be 1 . But soon, the clouds of mosquitos seemed 2 to our bug spray (喷雾). I was sweating, itchy, and arguing with my son about how to pull weeds. I had told him the "right" way — getting those weeds out from the bottom, by the roots, 3 them entirely.

He went back to his work, shaking dirt from his handful of growing things and throwing 9 stems into our shared basket. "People do things 10 , Mom," he said innocently. 

My fire soon faded, replaced by the 11 realization that I'd just received a valuable12 from the person that I was supposed to be teaching. While trying to 13 my baby girl, my kindergartener, and the yard work, 14 was a lifeline for me. But my way was, perhaps, not the best way after all. His time shouldn't be 15 . His job was to be a kid and take his time, for as long as he was able.

In 2009, Kevin Pearce was at the height of his professional snowboarding career and bound for the Winter Olympics. But in an instant, it came to an end. During training, he struck his head on the edge of a pipe, resulting in a traumatic (创伤的) brain injury. It changed the course of the then-22-year-old's life.

He had to relearn how to walk and talk and essentially start over. His older brother Adam quit his job and moved across the country to help him through rehab.

He eventually started doing yoga, and his family saw how it transformed him and gave him a sense of hope: "It was the first time I remember so clearly coming out of a class with him and just seeing in his face this new expression, this new person." Adam Pearce said, "We were like, ‘We need to figure out why and how that just happened.'"

Wanting to bring hope and healing to others through yoga and meditation (冥想). Adain and Kevin co-founded the Love YourBrain Foundation in 2014. The nonprofit offers week-long meditations and community-based yoga classes across the United States for people who are living with long-term brain-related disabilities. "I think people feel isolated after brain injury because they don't feel able, and when you don't feel able, you generally retreat back inside." Adam said, "At these retreats, people are given the space to lean into those deep challenges and express them and talk about them."

Ultimately, the organization aims to create a safe space and supportive community where people with brain-related disabilities can heal together. "Connection happens quickly because there's such a shared common understanding among the group." Adam said. "Once someone sees someone be vulnerable, it instantly allows the next person (to be). By the end, people start to see vulnerability as a superpower."
