Life is made up of a mixture of good and bad, including many disappointments. I've found that what matters is to keep hope alive. Hope . {#blank#}1{#/blank#} us light in the dark and energy to keep going. 

I'm a coach and advisor(顾问). The other day, I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} by a reporter. He was writing an article about how  {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a job after being fired(解雇). We talked about many common skills and tasks, and then we hit the center of the topic. "It's important not to lose  {#blank#}4{#/blank#} and to stay positive(积极的). It's important to build supporting systems to help keep hope alive. "I  {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. "People have to be hopeful about {#blank#}6{#/blank#} they may face in hard times. A positive attitude(态度) can help {#blank#}7{#/blank#} get through the challenge of looking for jobs. "

I have seen people who could have {#blank#}8{#/blank#} walked away in face of challenges, holding onto their hope and finding a way out of their trouble. However, I have also seen others who get lost in their {#blank#}9{#/blank#} and are broken down by the disappointments and challenges they face on their way. 

"Hope saves the day. "An attitude of hope, even in {#blank#}10{#/blank#} situation, can help us keep the faith(信心)long enough to come out safely on the other side. 

Do you have a beautiful dream? I know almost everyone has his own dream in his life. The dreams are very {#blank#}1{#/blank#}to them. The dreams can make them study{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. 

I am studying in a middle school now. I do well in all my {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. All the teachers like me very much. My dream is to be a teacher in the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} of China. Many children there want to go to school, but they can't. Their families are poor and their parents don't have enough {#blank#}5{#/blank#} to send them to school. I think that going to school is the best {#blank#}6{#/blank#}to change their life. 

The schools there{#blank#}7{#/blank#} teachers greatly, so I want to be a teacher to help them. I will be kind to my students and make {#blank#}8{#/blank#} with them. All the children will like to talk with me, too. I will give them {#blank#}9{#/blank#} and teach them how to be a useful person. I think it is a {#blank#}10{#/blank#}world. I hope my dream can come true. 

Monday began as usual. It wasn't until the third- graders reached their classroom that they noticed a new 1 . She was tall and straight with grey hair and witch's cold eyes, carrying a plant and a book.

"I'm Miss Orville. I've taught for forty- six years," she warned."I know lots of your tricks (恶作剧), 2 I advise you to try none. You' re to be in my charge until your teacher returns. Since I don't know you, let me look at your 3 first. Completed it? Take it out. Now!"

" You call THIS homework?" R-r- rip! A page was torn out and thrown at 4 owner. " Do it again."

 Roger opened his schoolbag. 5 , it fell off. Books, pencils spilled out. Cards, toys, balls..." Ah, we've come to play, have we?" She fixed her witch's gaze on him.

 The third grade was the last to 6 school. The children looked strangely defeated. Roger pulled his mother," We don't have a new teacher but a witch(巫婆) named Miss Awful. Hurry, I have much homework!"

 Finally, on Friday Miss Orville said, " Your teacher will return. This afternoon will be my7 class." At lunch, the third grade talked about nothing except how to 8 Miss Awful. Joey suggested," We could tie a rope in front of the door. She would fall down if she walked over."

" No. She's old," Roger said." We 9 hurt her like that."

" How about taking off the 10 of that plant?" advised someone.

 Roger didn't want to do that, not understanding why. It was a feeling he couldn't explain.

" Well, you worked hard last week," Miss Orville began her class. " Attending school is like a priceless gift. If I've been 11 , it was for your benefit. The world needs good people..."

 She stopped suddenly, staring at the plant 12 its leaves. She faced the class, looking sad.

" Whoever is responsible, I only wish you to be 13 ."

 After class, she said goodbye to the students. They ran out, some regretful, some silent, others cheerful. Only Roger stayed behind. He 14 her, rubbing his hand up and down his coat." Yes?" Miss Orville asked. " Flower, f-l-o-w-e-r. Castle, c-a-s-t-l-e. I've learned 15 you taught us." He smiled to Miss Awful whose eyes were wet.

British schools are very different 1 Chinese schools. In Britain, students have2 classes than in China. In Britain, classes start at around 9:00 a. m. and 3 at around 3:30 p. m. British students also have less homework 4 Chinese students. This gives British students more free time 5 to school clubs. There 6 many different school clubs like football clubs, swimming clubs, film clubs and book clubs.

In Britain, students study the same 7 as in China. They have to study Maths, English, History, Geography, PE, Computer Science, Art and so on. Just 8 in China, different students have different opinions about schools in Britain. Some students think that school is very9 , important and useful. 10 some students think it is boring and difficult.

It only grows in a few places on Earth. It's expensive. It looks like motor oil and tastes like burnt wood. Do you know what it is? Yes, it's coffee, and I love it.

So do more and more Chinese people, it seems. Luckin Coffee has shops across the country, and of course, Starbucks is everywhere. I once visited a Starbucks and found another Starbucks inside! People say coffee culture is taking over China, but I'm not sure.

 To me, coffee culture is about more than the drink. It is about the cafe. The best cafes are community(社区) spaces, where the baristas know your face and remember what you order. They are living rooms for people with small apartments, and study spaces for students. They have books, board games and local art on the walls. They may even host musicians.

 Compare this with Starbucks. Their chairs are uncomfortable and people forget your face. Starbucks doesn't have books, games or musicians. Instead, they sell CDs. It's the McDonald's of coffee.

 Are there good cafes in China? Yes! Great ones! I' ve visited many. If you like coffee, you should find one. If you don't like coffee, go anyway. They serve tea too. A cafe can only support a community if the community supports the cafe.
