Peking Opera is one of the forms of ancient Chinese culture. In Peking Opera, each character has their own face painted in a 1 way. The audience (观众) can know who the good guy is and who the bad guy is by 2 the face painting. Where did this kind of face painting come from? An old story tells us that it was related to Prince Lanling. This prince was one of the four most 3 men in ancient China. Some soldiers in the prince's army 4 that he was weak because of his good looking face. So, to make himself look 5 , the prince wore a mask with an ugly face painted on it. Another story about face painting has something to do 6 Li Longji, an emperor in the Tang Dynasty.He loved opera very much. One day, the actor who played the clown in Peking Opera fell ill right before a performance (玉) 7 others wouldn't be able to recognize him. Therefore, the 8 on the clown's face became a convention (惯例). Later, the actor who played the clown 9 the jade with white powder (粉末). As time went on, face painting started being used to show the characters of different roles. It has become one of many special 10 of expression of Peking Opera.

A European Union program is letting blind people experience famous paintings for the first time. It uses three dimensional（3-D） printing to recreate famous paintings so they can be touched. 

One painting printed with the new technology is Gustav Klimt's "The Kiss". It is a popular attraction at the Belvedere Museum in Vienna, Austria. The painting shows a man and a woman standing in a field filled with flowers. They are wearing gold robes（长袍） and have their arms around each other. The man leans down to kiss the woman. 

Klimt finished the painting in 

1908. Until now, people who had trouble seeing could not appreciate the artwork. But thanks to the reproduction（复制品）, they can touch the piece and feel the ridges（隆起） and depressions. Andreas Reichinger said this reproduction was his most difficult project because the couple's robes are so detailed. 

Dominika Raditsch is a blind museum visitor. She touched the reproduction. As she moved her hands around it she said, "Exactly, can you see these? There are so many details. " Raditsch said she could imagine what the original painting looked like when she touched the reproduction. "It's somehow round. You can feel it. It comes with it. And in many places it's so smooth. And then I think to myself — it probably shines, too!" Raditsch said. 

The Belvedere is not the only museum to have 3-D versions of its artwork. Some of the pieces at the Prado, in Madrid, Spain, have reproductions that can be touched. But the piece in Vienna has one special part: it is made with widely available 3-D printing technology. That means one day, blind art fans anywhere in the world could download the source files and print the reproductions themselves. 

A good breakfast is very important. You will understand it. By breakfast time you have not eaten anything for twelve hours. Your body needs energy for morning activities(活动). One good breakfast can serve enough energy. It should be rice or bread, an egg. milk and fruit. On a cold morning, a cup of hot milk is necessary(必需的). A good breakfast helps you to smile more easily. It helps you to be more friendly and also to work better and play more happily. Your whole day will be more fun after you have enjoyed a good breakfast.

Honesty helps start a good friendship. Friends must be able to trust（信任）each other. If you don't tell the truth, people usually find out. If a friend finds out that you are not honest, you may lose your friend's trust. Good friends should always speak and act honestly. 

Generosity means sharing and sharing makes a friendship grow. You don't have to give your lunch money, your clothes, or your hobbies. Naturally you will want to share your ideas and feelings. They tell your friend what is important to you. By sharing them, you help your friend know you better. 

Sooner or later everyone needs understanding and help with a problem. Something may go wrong at school. Talking about the problem can make it easier to solve. Turning to a friend can be a first step in solving the problem. So to be a friend you must listen and understand. You must try to put yourself in your friend's place so you can understand the problem better. 

No two friendships are ever exactly alike. But all true friendships have three things in common. If you plan to keep your friendships, you must practice honesty, generosity and understanding.

This year I celebrated an unusual festival in my classmate Li Mei's home. It's the Longtaitou Festival. The festival is always on the second day of the second lunar month（农历月) every year. It shows the start of spring and farming. People celebrate the Longtaitou Festival in different ways. The most famous tradition is getting a haircut（理发）. Some people think that it can bring them good luck.

Li Mei treated me to some fried beans（炒豆）and pancakes. Fried beans are the traditional festival fare for them. During the meal, she told some other special food for the festival. People in Suzhou enjoy chengyao cakes（撑腰糕）. As an old saying goes," If you eat chengyao cakes at the Longtaitou Festival, your waist won't hurt all year." More interestingly, some foods are named after the loong body parts to mark（庆祝）the day. Wontons are the loong's eyes (longyan), noodles are the loong's beard (longxu) and spring pancakes are the loong's scales (longlin).

We spent a happy Longtaitou Festival together. Laughter and joy filled the whole house. To me, it was more than a festival, but a lesson about Chinese culture.
