Last month, I went to Australia and had great fun there. My first stop was Sydney. I visited the Sydney Opera House first, then the Bondi Beach. On the beach, I saw many people lying （躺）in the sun. I never saw this in my country. It was very interesting. 

The next morning, I went to Fraser Island. The island is about 122 km long. It has beautiful lakes and beaches. I joined a Fraser Island camp with some friends. We drove a car around the island. We swam and enjoyed a barbecue （烧烤） on the beach together. We had a wonderful time. 

However, there were also many problems, One was that I couldn't speak English well. I wanted to talk with people there and make friends with them. But I didn't know what they said. Because of this, I often lost my way, too. Luckily, people there were so kind to give help. 

From the trip I feel that the world is small. I come to know that I have to study English very hard. 

Cruises are becoming more and more popular, with around 20 million passengers per year now enjoying holidays on board luxury (奢侈的) ships. More people see a cruise as the perfect way to sit back and do nothing, and enjoy time off work. But what is the effect (影响) on the environment of this trend? 

Although it usually takes less energy for a vehicle to move through water than over land, cruise ships are often very big, with the biggest ones carrying up to 6, 000 passengers. Moving such large vehicles requires huge engines which burn as much as 300, 000 litres of fuel a day. One scientist has calculated that cruise ships produce as much pollution as 5 million cars going over the same distance. Because they are out at sea, they also burn dirtier fuel that isn't allowed on land. Unfortunately, no government has control over the amount of air pollution out at sea. 

Cruises also produce huge amounts of rubbish, and cruise ships aren't usually good at recycling. Waste water from showers and toilets is usually poured directly into the sea—as much per day as from a small town. Waste food from restaurants isn't put into the sea, but still causes problems when brought back to the land. 

Cruise ships also cause difficulties in the cities where they stop. Popular destinations can get five or six ships per day, with thousands of tourists at a time. Good for restaurants? No. Restaurant owners complain that the visitors look around for a few hours and then return to their ship to eat. What's more, the crowds can put off other tourists, who complain that the streets are too busy. Some towns have banned cruise ships or put a limit on the number that can stop at the same time. People who care about the environment worry that as the cruise industry continues to grow, so will the issues for our planet.

 Jenny is a 13- year- old student. She knows it's important to stay healthy and she finds some easy ways to keep healthy every day.

 Every morning before school, Jenny starts her day with some exercise. She does easy exercise like jumping. Her home is not far from her school, so she always walks there, even on cold winter days. To stay active, she enjoys taking short walks around the school at school breaks. When she gets home, she spends some time outdoors, playing with her friends and running in the park near her house. She doesn't like to stay indoors soon after she gets home. In the evening, Jenny also practices yoga before she goes to bed. It helps her to sleep better.

 On weekends, Jenny loves going for bike rides with her family or taking walks in the park. Staying active not only helps her stay healthy but also gives her a break from schoolwork and cleans her mind for the coming week.

The Qingming Festival, or Tomb-Sweeping Day, is an important festival in China. On that day, people sweep the tombs, mourning(悼念) their dead relatives. 

Qingming means clear and bright in Chinese. As one of the 24 seasonal division points(节气) in China，it is thought to1 farm work. It falls on April 4th to 6th each year. After the festival, the sun shines brightly and the2 rises up. There will be more rain. The trees and grass become green and nature is3 of life. It is a great time for farmers to plant. 

4 the climate(气候) is agreeable, a lot of people prefer to go out to enjoy nature. Flying kites and planting trees are popular activities5 that period. 

The willow (柳树) is an important plant in the festival. perhaps the most common and familiar one. People6 insert willow branches (插柳) under their roofs or make garlands (花环) out of the willow branches and wear them on their heads. on their heads. The willow, with strong power of life, is believed to 7 ghosts. With the fact that the8 of willow in Chinese is liu，9 to that of staying, willow is expected to make ancestors' souls(祖先的灵魂)10 .

When shopping for clothes, my mother and I have always disagreed on what fits me well. To me, if it zips, it fits. My mom, however, usually tells me I need a bigger size.

When I was a teenager, I wanted to dress like my friends, but my body size made it impossible. When mom told me something didn't suit me, or I needed a bigger size, all I heard was that my body was wrong.

To avoid arguments, we stopped going shopping together. This continued until I got engaged(订婚) last year and needed to buy some clothes. When I tried on a blouse, my mother looked at me, and I knew what was coming. "You need a bigger size," she said.

There was no bigger size. I tried to hold back my tears. Maybe I could buy it alone, of course, but my mom is my favorite person to hang out with. The idea of looking for a wedding dress without her seemed just as scary as taking her with me.

And so the day came. As I tried on a simple white dress, I saw tears in my mom's eyes. "You look beautiful! " she told me. Nothing could have shocked me more.

This one didn't zip up at the back and I did actually need a bigger size, but my mother didn't say that. She just told me how beautiful I looked. In that moment, all the arguments in the past ended. We didn't buy a dress that day.

We decided to see more, which I would never have predicted.

A few weeks later, we found the perfect dress. We both loved it as soon as I put it on. And during those few weeks, mom and I also found the perfect fit for our shopping relationship.

Once upon a time, there was a clever monkey. He lived in an apple tree on a beautiful island. One day, a crocodile(鳄鱼) swam to the island. "I'm hungry, " he said. 

So the monkey threw a red apple to the crocodile. The crocodile munched (咀嚼) and munched. The next day, the crocodile came back. 

"Please, may I have two apples?" he asked. He ate one and gave one to his wife(妻子). 

 The crocodile went to see the monkey every day to listen to his stories and eat his apples. He wanted to be clever just like the monkey. The crocodile's wife had an idea. 

"Why don't you eat his heart? Then you'll be clever, just like him!" The next day, the crocodile said to the monkey, "Come to my house! We' ll have lunch together to thank you for the apples. "

 But when they arrived, the crocodile said, "Monkey! I want to eat your heart so I can be as clever as you!"

 The clever monkey thought quickly and said, "It isn't here. It' s in my apple tree. "

 They went back to the island. "Wait here and I will get my heart, " the monkey said. 

 The monkey quickly climbed the tree and sat at the top. "Oh, crocodile. You are too greedy(贪婪的). Of course you can't have my heart. And now you can't have my apples either!" The clever monkey laughed and laughed!
