China has worked for years to help pandas and it is paying off. Here are two examples.
Bamboo is pandas' main food. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} A panda needs 12-38 kilograms of bamboo each day. In the 1980s, without enough food, the number of pandas dropped(减少)to less than1, 200. To help the pandas, China set up 67 panda reserves(保护区). In these reserves, they planted bamboo forests.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#}They only open their eyes six to eight weeks after birth. So researchers need to take good care of them in labs.
{#blank#}4{#/blank#}The earth is getting warmer. Some places will be too hot for bamboo to grow. " More than a third of bamboo forests could go away in less than 80 years, " scientists say. It's still dangerous for pandas.
