There are plenty of "energy drinks" advertisement on TV. Most of them have beautiful colors and cool names. They tell you they are helpful to your health. Sounds great and lots of people believe them!

But after a careful check you may find that most energy drinks have lots of caffeine (咖啡因) in them. These drinks are especially aimed at young people, students, busy people and sports players. Makers sometimes say their drinks make you better at sports and can keep you awake. But he careful not to drink too much.

Caffeine makes your heart beat fast. Because of this, the International Olympic Committee has limited (限制) its use. Caffeine in most energy drinks is as strong as that in a cup of coffee or tea. Possible health dangers have something to do with energy drinks. Just one box of energy drink can make you nervous, have difficulty sleeping and can even cause heart problems. Scientists say that teenagers should be discouraged from taking drinks with a lot of caffeine in them.

At present, a number of people are chasing fashion. They spend much money chasing fashion. At the same time, it brings us negative effects (负面影响) that may influence the development of our society. 

What's fashion? The meaning of fashion can not be explained by a simple word. Everyone has a different understanding of fashion. Some people think that popularization is fashion, and some people think that highlighting personality (彰显个性) is fashion. In fact, fashion is a popular style (of clothes, behavior, etc. ) at a given time or place. Fashion is changing constantly, so it's always different. 

It's not necessary for young people to follow fashion. One should have his own style. One should be changing himself to the situation, but it doesn't mean that he should follow fashion. We should consider whether fashion is helpful. I think that following it has more disadvantages than advantages. To follow fashion is to waste money, energy and time. If you follow fashion, you'll lose your own style. If everyone follows the same fashion, there won't be differences in the world.

As winter comes, many people move to the south of China for its warmer climate(气候). However, a growing number of 36.{#blank#}1{#/blank#} have been to Harbin which is famous as the Ice City. 

It is said that Harbin's {#blank#}2{#/blank#} comes from a Manchu(满族的)word that means "a place for drying fishing nets". It is the capital of Heilongjiang Province and one of the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} cities in northeast China. 

The city developed {#blank#}4{#/blank#} with the arrival of the Chinese Eastern Railway. The railway {#blank#}5{#/blank#} it to the outside world. especially Russia. This made preparations for Harbin's future development of its {#blank#}6{#/blank#} culture where East meets West. 

The city is now famous for its Ice and Snow Festivals. Thousands of visitors from all corners of the world {#blank#}7{#/blank#} for different kinds of winter-themed activities and sports. 

Although these festivals may be the most exciting part of a {#blank#}8{#/blank#} to Harbin, the city still has much more to offer. It has not only the traditional European-style buildings but also its more {#blank#}9{#/blank#} buildings, such as the Harbin Grand Theater. The unusual food, including guobaorou. can all be {#blank#}10{#/blank#} along Zhongyang Street. 

While winter may be the best time to visit Harbin, the city has a lot to offer all year round. It is a must-see place no matter what season it is. 

Garry Golden is sharing his ideas with some university students.

Golden is a futurist(未来主义者) . Futurists are scientists who study(研究) the world today and use that information to make predictions about the 

future.Some futurists study the environment.Some study human society(人类社会), Golden studies transportation(交通运输).

Golden says there will be fewer cars in cities in the future.

Golden says. "We have to build lots of parking lots (停车场) for cars, but having so many parking lots is not efficient . Much of the time the 

parking lots are empty (空的). Golden says cities will make new laws(法律)to limit(限制) the number of cars in the future.

"Buses have the same problem as parking lots,"Golden says. "Sometimes they are full, and sometimes they are empty." Golden says in the future 

people can use phones to send messages(信息) when they want to take the bus. And buses can change (改变) their ways to pick(接) them up.

"Traffic is a big problem for cities today," Golden says."But there are so many things we can do to improve it. I believe that in thirty years we will live in a very different world."

Long long ago, there was a king. He ate too nuch and never did any exercise. 

One day, the king found that he couldn't move because he was too fat. People laughed at(嘲笑) him and called him"the fat king". The king was sad. Then he invited many doctors to help him with his situation, but it didn't work. 

Later, a wise(有智慧的) woman said she could help him. The woman asked the king to come to her on foot, but he still felt happy because there was someone who might change his situation. 

When the king got to the wise woman's home, the woman asked him to come on foot the next day. The next day when he arrived, the guard(守卫) told the king to meet the woman the next day. The king was a little bored but was not angry. The same situation went on for two weeks, but the king never met the wise woman.
