Sam wants to be a musician. When he was a young kid，he loved music very much. Now he enjoys playing many instruments such as the guitar，the violin and the drum  but he loves playing the piano most.

Sam has wanted to be a musician since he first learned to play the piano. He likes to play the piano because it always makes him quiet when he is angry or sad. Also，he likes to listen to all kinds of music. 

He'd like to be a musician and play great music in his concerts. He hopes his friends and many other people will go to his concerts. Then he can get a lot of money from the concerts and give all the money to other children who need money. 

Of course，he will have to practice very hard if he wants to be a musician. We hope that he can become a musician. Then he'll be very happy and do some things to help many people. 

A marathon is a long running race of 26. 2 miles（42. 195 kilometres）. The first Olympic Marathon was held in Athens. Now，many cities host their own marathons every year. Some of the best-known marathons around the world are the New York City Marathon，the Boston Marathon and the Tokyo Marathon. Among them, the Boston Marathon which started in 1897, is the oldest yearly marathon in the world. As time goes by, the sport has become more than just a race. 

Themes of marathons add fun and meaning to the hard miles. Runners run for helping sick kids, celebrating important events, or just enjoying nature. There is a famous marathon in Gisborne, New Zealand, which is known for being the first city in the world to welcome the sunlight every day. Runners can greet the sunrise as they race along the golden sandy beaches. 

Marathon routes（路线） bring people more understanding of the old sport. Some routes provide great sporting challenges for runners. The routes offer various surfaces, from bridges to sand to hills. Runners of all skill levels can sweat freely and push their limits in the race. Some routes are well planned for runners to explore the many sides of a city. For example, the route of the Great Wall Marathon takes the runners along the great wonder of the world. The race can be an amazing chance to get to know Beijing, its people and local food. 

A marathon is quite a journey for runners to enjoy the run, challenge themselves and experience the culture. There is so much more behind the race for us to explore. 

A hen lives with her children on farm. It's late summer and she wants to make a delicious corn (玉米) cake. She thinks everyone would like it.

It's hard work, because she needs enough corn for the cake. Who can help her? Some other animals, like the dog, the cat and the pig. They live near her. She goes to visit (拜访) these friends.

"Who can help me get the corn to make a delicious cake?"

"I can't get the corn!" says the cat angrily. "You wake me up for this?"

"Sorry!" says the dog. "I like ready-prepared dishes."

"I can't do it," says the pig. "I do not like to be tired."

So the hen has to do it alone (单独). When the cake is ready, it smells delicious. All the three want to try some.

The hen doesn't want to share the corn cake with them. She thinks no one helps her and that they are too lazy. The corn cake is just for her and her children.

I'm Kate, and my sister is Gina. I'm tidy, 1 Gina is not. In our room, my books and tapes are in the bookcase. My 2 are in my schoolbag. I have a clock. It's 3 the desk. Gina's books are 4 — on her bed, on the sofa and under the chair. The white model plane is hers. It's under the desk. "Where are my keys? Where's my ruler? Where's my schoolbag?" Gina 5 asks.

②Step 1: Find out what animals are in danger. Spend some time learning about animals and what their favourite places are. 

③Step 2: Do something for nature reserves(自然保护区). Nature reserves are good places to help protect endangered animals. You can give some money to nature reserves or spend your time helping nature reserves to protect endangered animals. 

④Step 3: Never buy anything that are made____from endangered animals. Don't do harm to endangered animals or their living places. Instead, we should try our best to protect them. 

⑤Step 4: Join an endangered animal protection organisation. You can save animals through these organisations by planting more trees and calling for more people to protect animals. 

⑥If everyone works hard to protect endangered animals, we'll get a more beautiful world. Let's take action from now on!

Peter and David are good friends. Every morning. Peter gets up early to read books. In the afternoon, he does sports with David. 

Today they don't go to school. David comes to Peter's room and says, "I want to read books like you, but I don't understand(理解)them. Is reading good for me? "

Peter say, "This is a coal basket(煤筐). Get a basket of water from the river. Then I tell you. "David does that. But there is no water in the basket when he comes back. Peter says, "You can walk fast. "
