Anna comes{#blank#}1{#/blank#}Russia. She is 17 years old. She is going{#blank#}2{#/blank#}(stay) with the Black family for a year. Anna comes to England{#blank#}3{#/blank#}she wants to study English. She helps Mrs. Black{#blank#}4{#/blank#}housework and goes to English{#blank#}5{#/blank#}(class) every Wednesday and Friday afternoon.

    Anna is now in London. Everything is new(新的) to her. She finds life is different from that in Moscow. Some things are nice in London,{#blank#}6{#/blank#}many things are not so nice. The shops are bigger in London than those in Moscow. So it's very expensive to enjoy{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(live) in London.{#blank#}8{#/blank#}is expensive to have a meal at a restaurant or go to the cinema.

    Now Anna gets used to (习惯于) many{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(thing), but she can't get used to the breakfast in England. "You eat so much{#blank#}10{#/blank#}the morning," she often says, "Fruits, porridge, eggs, tea and bread. How can you face (面对) all that food so early in the day?"

    Winter is around the corner, and most plants are losing their {#blank#}1{#/blank#} （叶子）. However, bamboo doesn't. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (相反), bamboo stands straight and grow fast. Chinese people learned to use bamboo to make {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (筷子) ,baskets and even furniture a long time ago. Bamboo is {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (使用) to cook all kinds of food. Bamboo is also the main food of the giant pandas.

    Bamboo is also very useful in art. Because bamboo is hollow inside, it's a good choice for people to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (制作) different things. It's clever to make {#blank#}10{#/blank#} （音乐的） instruments. There are many kinds of bamboo flutes all over the world.

On the stage of America's Got Talent, 11-year-old Tyler Butler Figueroa played the violin well. Also, he touched many people's hearts {#blank#}1{#/blank#} his story. Tyler comes from North Carolina {#blank#}2{#/blank#} he was four years old, he had a health problem and started to lose hair. He felt sad. The feeling got even {#blank#}3{#/blank#} when his classmates laughed at his look. And they stayed away from him. One day, Tyler saw a flyer (小传单) for free after-school violin lessons at school. He knew he was not {#blank#}4{#/blank#} in music, but he decided to learn to play the violin. "I practiced {#blank#}5{#/blank#} in my room every day," he said. "{#blank#}6{#/blank#} the violin could help me to forget the bad things." Tyler's mother said the violin made him {#blank#}7{#/blank#} again and she felt like she had her son back. Tyler stood strong, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} he had to face those bad things. He {#blank#}9{#/blank#} a book. He wanted to share his story with other kids like {#blank#}10{#/blank#} and told them to be strong.
