A grandma, Xu Xiuzhen, became famous for videos of her talking with foreigners on the Internet. In these videos, she speaks different languages with them. Grandma Xu has worked as a tour guide and vendor(摊贩) in Yangshuo, a county in Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region (自治区) since 1998. Grandma Xu left junior school in the third grade. To make a living, she began to learn different languages to encourage more foreigners to buy things. Over the past twenty years, Grandma Xu has taught herself 11 foreign languages, including English, Spanish, Japanese and Korean. It makes her popular, and her excellent language skills have also made it easier for her to communicate with foreign tourists.

Grandma Xu said she learnt how to pronounce the words from different foreigners first and then she memorised them. She would repeat the words in her head before going to bed and after waking up. Gradually, her hard work made her talk with foreigners better and better.

Grandma Xu has also become one of the busiest tour guides in Yangshuo. Her popularity draws a large crowd of tourists every day, especially foreign visitors who come to meet the special guide out of admiration. "More and more foreign tourists are coming to Yangshuo, and I hope they will feel at home here with my help," she said.

After a day of hard work, Kevin's father went back home. He wanted to take a shower, and then to 1 and enjoy the rest of the day.

When he was finishing his shower, the phone rang. "Dad, it's for you. Come on!" Kevin shouted. His father finished up his shower 2 . When he ran to the phone, he fell on the floor.

"Owww!" Kevin's dad shouted loudly because he 3 his left foot. Hearing the shout, Kevin ran to check and saw his dad 4 on the floor. He broke his left foot. His father's face turned pale (苍白的), 5 he said to his son, "Kevin, call your mom."

When they arrived there, the doctor checked the foot carefully. To their joy, the doctor twisted (扭转) Kevin's father's foot and set it back to the 8 place.

Mrs Ball had a son. His name was Mick. She1 him very much and as he was not a2 child,she was always3 that he might be ill.4 she used to take him to see the best5 in the town four times a year to be looked over.  During one of these visits, the doctor gave Mick all kinds of tests and then said to him," Have you had any6 with your nose or ears recently ?" Mick7 for a second and then answered . " Yes,I8 . " Mrs Ball was very9 . "But I'm sure you have never told me that, Mick !" She said worriedly. " Oh, really ?" said the doctor10 " And what trouble have you with your nose and ears, my boy ?" "Well," answered Mick, "I always have trouble with them when I'm taking my sweater off, because the collar (衣领)is very tight（紧的）. " 

I'm Nancy. I live in a small but nice {#blank#}1{#/blank#}. In the center of our town is a hotel. It's on Center Street. The police station is on the{#blank#}2{#/blank#}, too.

 There are all kinds of shops in town. I {#blank#}3{#/blank#} buy food in Alan's food shop. And {#blank#}4{#/blank#} from the food shop, there is a pet shop. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the pet shop is a shoe shop. We also have a bank. It's near the pet shop. People can keep their {#blank#}6{#/blank#} in it. And next to the bank, there are two {#blank#}7{#/blank#}, Their food is very delicious and we can have {#blank#}8{#/blank#} drinks there. The clothing shops and the post office are in the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} of the town.

There is a small library near my home. Every weekend, my sister  {#blank#}10{#/blank#} going there to read books.

Paul and Mary both study at Green High School. Paul likes {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. He can swim, and he can {#blank#}4{#/blank#} most ball games. He played soccer {#blank#}5{#/blank#} than Mary and he is a member of the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} team （队）. He is really strong and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} . Now he wants to learn Chinese Kungfu, because he thinks it's {#blank#}8{#/blank#}. Mary is Paul's sister. She likes music very much. She can play three {#blank#}9{#/blank#} of instruments（乐器）: the violin, the guitar and the piano. And she wants to join the music club. Paul and Mary often help me. We talk with each other in English.

The students in my school play handball a lot. During the first break and second break, many students get out of the 1 to play handball on the playground. Usually there are four students playing in each2 while the other students stand in line waiting for 3 turns. Lots of them can play handball so well that they are 4 out (出局) during the whole 30-minute break. But I am a kid who has very 5 coordination(协调性). When it is my 6 , I get very excited. However, most of the time my excitement can only 7 for about 10 seconds and then I'm out. I have to 8 for about 10 minutes to have another turn. I am very 9 . 

One day, my friend asked me to go out of the 10 line and said, "Tony, I will teach you 11 to play handball. Once you learn how to do it, you can have12 . " For the whole week, he13 me all the skills(技巧) and I could play quite long without missing the 14 . Now I am in the long line 15 .
