1970 was World Conservation (保护) Year. The UN wanted everyone to know that the world was in danger. They hoped something could be done.

The others have been destroyed by modern people and their science. We are polluting earth, air, water and everything around us. We can't live without these things. If things go on like this, we shall destroy ourselves.

For example, they plant trees. In a small town in the United States, a large group of girls cleaned the banks of 11 kilometres of their river. Young people may hear about conversation through an album called "No One's Gonna Change Our World". It includes songs of Cliff Richard and other singers. The money from selling it will help to conserve tigers, elephants and pandas on Earth.

Our movement spend a lot of time and money improving the city's traffic. They build more roads and make stricter rules. However, do they really work on the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} problem!

Clearly, they work little because the speed (速度) of building more roads is slower than that of cars' growth. 

Why not{#blank#}2{#/blank#}down, the growth of cars and speed up the roads' building? This way is much better than that of just {#blank#}3{#/blank#}more roads. Although there are stricter rules to let cars run on the road in{#blank#}4{#/blank#}tones; traffic still grows heavier and heavier. The {#blank#}5{#/blank#}one is the traffic restriction (车辆限行). This rule improves the city's traffic in someway {#blank#}6{#/blank#}snot too much, for example, Jack's family live far away from the city {#blank#}7{#/blank#}a my parents have to drive to work but they can' t drive their car on Tuesdays. What will they do to solve (解决) the problem? The fastest and best way is to buy {#blank#}8{#/blank#}car and ask for a different license plate (汽车牌照), In this way, they can go to work {#blank#}9{#/blank#}like before. 

I hope our movement can develop a better plan {#blank#}10{#/blank#}be the situation. Fewer cars mean fewer traffic problems. 

Thanks to its rich history, the Palace Museum is home to over 1.86 million cultural relics(文物). However. there aren't enough exhibition spaces for them. It's said that only 10,000 cultural relics can be shown to the public each year. That's why the Palace Museum decided to build a new branch.

The plan to build a branch in the north of the museum was first made in 2013. After years of preparation, the building work finally started in 2022 December. The branch is located in Xiyuhe,a village in Haidian District, Beijing. It's over 30 kilometres away from the Palace Museum, about an hour's drive.

With an area of more than 100,000 square metres, the northern branch will have an exhibition space of 60,000 square metres for cultural relics and over 35,000 square metres of restoration space. More than 20,000 to 30,000 relics could be shown in the new branch every year, and it will offer larger and better-equipped spaces to objects like silk pieces, which require greater attention.

"We'll have a much larger space to meet people's expectations and improve our ability to show ancient Chinese civilization(文明),"Mr. Wang, director of the Palace Museum, said in an interview. The new branch is expected to open to the public in 2025 and further meet the different needs of the public in the near future.

"We are going to build the branch into a museum inheriting(继承) ancient classics and leading the future at the same time, "said Mr. Zhang, chief architect(首席建筑师) of the new museum. It's believed that both the Palace Museum and the new branch will protect and carry forward the fine traditional Chinese culture. The completion of the new branch will provide new development space for the Palace Museum, making Beijing the national cultural centre and a "City of Museums".
