I'm Mrs Green. This summer holiday, I went to London with my husband and our son Sam. We first spent four days visiting some famous places, such as the London Eye and Buckingham Palace. On the fifth day, I was a bit tired and just wanted to stay at the hotel. But Sam didn't want to. He would like to visit the HMS Belfast, a famous warship(战舰)that joined the Second World War(战争). It is on the River Thames as a museum for people to visit now. It is very famous and Sam read about it in a magazine. Well, boys always love these things, so I promised to go with him. 

We took the underground and it took us about twenty minutes to get to the River Thames from our hotel. After walking another ten minutes we finally saw the HMS Belfast. An adult ticket was £ 24. 5 and my husband bought two. Sam was only 13 years old, so his ticket was half price. The HMS Belfast was really large. Sam was interested in everything on it and took lots of photos. He said it was his favourite place on his trip to London.

Last month, Li Ya had a seven-day vacation. His family planned a three-day trip to Beijing and Xi'an. They decided to go to Beijing by train first. 

On the first day morning, they took a bus for a tour of Tian'anmen Square. There were many visitors there. Then they paid a visit to the Palace Museum. It was great. For lunch, they ate some vegetables, beef and rice. After lunch, they visited the Summer Palace. They took a boat ride on Kunming Lake there. It was fun. In the evening, they ate Beijing Duck in Quanjude, a very famous restaurant. It was delicious. 

The next day they visited the Great Wall. When Li Ya was standing the Great Wall, he felt as if he was in ancient days. he could see many laborers (劳工) working very hard to build this wall. He wondered how they finished this extremely difficult work by hand.

On the third morning, they flew to Xi'an. They visited the Xi'an Circumvallation(西安城墙) and took quite a lot of photos there. They had mutton noodles for lunch. In the afternoon, they visited the Terracotta Army(兵马俑). Li Ya was surprised to know that each warrior of the Terracotta Army is about 1.8 meters tall, and none of them looks the same. In the evening, they enjoyed a wonderful dance show. 

① On September 5th, 2022, a 6. 8- magnitude (级) earthquake happened in Luding County in Southwest China's Sichuan Province. Very soon firemen, rescuers (救援者) and doctors came to help. 

② The photo of a young rescue r called Zhang Zili holding a 2- month- old baby in his arms moved many people. Zhang and other rescuers found the baby and her grandmother at their home in a village. Luckily, they didn't hurt badly and were sent to hospital. Zhang got a lovely name "Brother Wenchuan" because the Chinese words of "Wenchuan" are on his armband. 

③ 20- year- old Zhang Zili is from Maoxian County, and it is close to Wenchuan County. We all know a 7. 8- magnitude earthquake happened in Wenchuan on May 12th, 2008. 

④ "My house fell down, so my family had to stay in a tent in a school playground. I still remember the tent was dark and I could hear many kids crying. Then an uncle of the PLA (解放军) came to me. He taught me songs to sing and played with me. He kept saying' Don't be afraid because we are here now'," Zhang recalled. The little boy kept these words in his heart. And he will never forget how those firemen, rescuers and doctors worked hard day and night to save people in 2008. In early 2022, when Zhang Zili learnt that the local forest fire brigade (森林消防队) was recruiting (招募) firemen, he joined it at once. 

⑤ "Being a fireman is sometimes dangerous, but saving people from danger is the most important. I love my job," he says. 

For the first time in 74 years, Chunwai Chan, a Chinese ballet dancer plays the most important role in a New York dance group. His performance in The Nutcracker（《胡桃&夹子》）is amazing. 

Chan is 181cm tall. He is in good shape with his long arms and legs. But he always seems serious when talking about dance. 

Chan loved dancing when he was a child. To get his parent's support, Chan wrote a seven-page letter to say that he wanted to study dance really hard. 

In 2020, Chan chose to come back to China. In a Chinese talent show, Dance Smxsh（《舞蹈风暴》）, he did a good job. Many Chinese knew his name from the show. He became famous quickly. Ballet seemed more interesting to the Chinese because of Chan's work. 

This year, the 30-year-old young man became the first Chinese principle （首席） dancer at New York City Ballet in May. Now he started to tell Chinese stories to the West. Chan said. "I hope that the Americans will enjoy wonderful Chinese culture. "

My teacher expected me {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(practise) hard and entered a writing competition. And I expected {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(get) her help, so she gave me some advice and allowed me to ask her questions at any time. I believed I won't let her down.
