As a child, Alain Robert was afraid of heights. One day, when he was 12, he returned home from school. He didn't find his keys. It was 3:30pm and his parents worked until 6：00 pm. Alain looked at his apartment on the eighth floor. He saw an open window. He closed his eyes and imagined himself climbing the building. When he opened his eyes, he told himself, "I can do it." Fifteen minutes later, he was in his house and his fear of heights was gone.

    Today, Alain still climbs buildings. In 2003, he climbed a building in London dressed as Spiderman (蜘蛛人) to advertise the movie. In 2004, he climbed Taipei 101 (one of the tallest buildings in the world). To reach the top of a building, Alain uses only his hands and special shoes.

    Alain climbs as a hobby. He also does it to make money for charity (for poor children and the homeless). When he climbs, he wants to send a message to people. If you have a dream, you must be brave and keep trying. If something bad happens, don't give up. Close your eyes and tell yourself, "I can do it."

Then Pang Cong said 10 to the king and left Daliang, the capital of Wei, with the prince. But as soon as he had left, the king's ears were 11 with words against him.

After a few years, when Pang Cong 12 to Wei with the prince, the king would not see him again. He was no longer 13 .

So, "three liars (说谎的人) make a 14 " is used to say that if a lie is 15 often enough, people may start to believe it, even though it is not a fact.

In 1921, long before the Walt Disney Company turned Pooh (维尼熊) into an international star of TV and films, Christopher Robin Milne was given a toy bear on his first birthday from his father, A. A. Milne, who bought the stuffed animal from a store. The stuffed animal was named Edward Bear. Years later, Edward was named Winnie. From the time Christopher Robin Milne was a baby until he was about 8 years old, he would receive different stuffed animals. A. A. Milne was a famous English writer. As he watched his son interact (互动) with Winnie and friends.

A. A. Milne thought his child's interaction with the collection of animals would make a great bedtime story. So Milne worked with artist Ernest H. Shepard and wrote the first Winnie the Pooh poem, where Edward Bear was known as "Teddy Bear". The writings appeared in Punch magazine and in the book they wrote together, When We Were Young, which was published in 1924. In a four-year period, three more books that focused on the bear and his team followed: 1926's Winnie-the-Pooh, 1927's Now We Are Six, and 1928's The House at Pooh Corner. 

The books and poems about Pooh brought great success to the writer, and the characters became favorites with young children and their families around the world. Their popularity led Disney to get the rights (版权) to make films about the characters in 1961. Five years later, Pooh, Tiger, Piglet and the rest of the team appeared on screen for the first time in Winnie-the-Pooh and the Honey Tree. The characters later appeared in TV shows, movies, video games and short films. Pooh's most recent appearance came last year in the popular children's program, Doc McSiuf ins, where he was a special guest. 

Taihang Grand Canyon National Forest Park is a natural wonder. It lies in the{#blank#}1{#/blank#} part of Huguan County. There are some sweet springs, silver waterfalls, clear {#blank#}2{#/blank#}and interesting caves there. 

I always remember the journey going there. In the early morning, we began to{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the canyon. At{#blank#}4{#/blank#} , the canyon was silent. With more and more people coming, the canyon became noisy. There were so many trees and we didn't know most of them. Some signs along the paths told us something about different sights. We heard the loud waterfalls far away from them. When we got near, we{#blank#}5{#/blank#} cool at once. The waterfalls were high and pretty. We also visited some other sights and had great fun there.
