In many countries, tattoos are in fashion (时尚). On TV you can often see a famous actor or musician with a tattoo on his arm or foot. Many sports players have them, too. In the US, tattoos are very popular. Forty percent of Americans aged between 26 and 40 have a tattoo, and 60 percent of customers in US tattoo parlors are women. These people are often professional people like doctor, teachers and lawyers.

However, tattoos are not modern. In fact, they are very old in human history. For example, archaeologists (考古学家) found a human in ice from 5,000 years ago. He had 57 tattoos on his back, ankles, legs, knees and feet. Tattoos were used for many different reasons. In ancient Egypt, people got tattoos because they were “beautiful”. But in ancient Rome, tattoos were negative (负面的) and put on criminals and prisoners. In India, tattoos were religious (宗教的).

In the 16th and 17th century, European sailors (船员) arrived on the islands of Polynesia. They saw tattoos for the first time. The people on the islands had tattoos on their shoulders, chests, backs and legs. Often the tattoos were of animals or natural features like a river or a mountain. The European sailors liked them and made their own tattoos, so the idea traveled to Europe. Tattoos in Polynesia are still important today. They show information about a person's history, their island or their job.

So is there a connection (联系) between traditional tattoos and fashionable tattoos? And can you call tattoos a fashion? Chris Rainier is an expert in tattoos and his book Ancient Marks has photos of tattoos from all over the world. He thinks people in modern societies often have tattoos because they are a connection to the traditional world. But tattoos aren't a fashion like clothes or a haircut because you can't put them on and take them off again like a jacket or a hat. They are permanent (永久的) and for life.

A clothing company, Takikou, has recently made a new creation—a wearable beanbag. It {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(allow) you to comfortably sit or lie down anytime, anywhere.

When thinking about top comfort, a big beanbag that you can wear is probably not the first thing that comes to your mind. But according to Takikou, that's {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(exact) what its new wearable beanbag is about.

This funny {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(invent) was inspired by the idea of a "cushion(靠垫) that saves people". It mainly focuses {#blank#}4{#/blank#} offering people top comfort that they don't ever want to move. "This idea would allow you to completely let go, anytime, anywhere. You can put this on {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(relax) in your living room, or many other places. That's{#blank#}6{#/blank#} we created it," Takikawa said.

The wearable beanbag{#blank#}7{#/blank#}(be) on sale in Japan since a few months ago, but it has become hot recently because{#blank#}8{#/blank#} video of a person wearing it spread quickly online. The wearable beanbag has three different{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(size) and colors, and it is easy to get in and out of. The adult version(版本) weighs around 5 kilograms, so it's a bit{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(heavy) than your common clothes.

Demand for wearable beanbags has greatly increased after large numbers of media reports, so would you like to have one?

 通过下面短文,掌握其大意,然后按照句子结构的语法和上下文连贯的要求,从每题所给的四个选项中选出一个最佳答案。

Have you ever seen the film Forrest Gump (《阿甘正传》)? There's 1 famous saying in it: "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know2 " The surprise is part of the fun. It is not only from the chocolates you find in the box but also the process of opening the box. Now blind box toys have become very popular since they 3 to China. Blind box toys are hidden inside the same packaging. So, the buyers don't know what is in the boxes until they open 4 . The most popular toys in the blind boxes are cute characters that come 5 pop movies, comics and cartoons. There 6 a few special ones in many common boxes. "Maybe the next one is a gold toy. My wish is 7 another box." said one buyer. As a result, people will open more blind boxes and hope for a better result.

Besides expecting good results, people also enjoy the surprise and uncertain mysteries. "Opening a blind box like opening a birthday gift is an enjoyable surprise for our simple daily lives," said a 8 girl. "When I open these simple little boxes, I feel disappointed at one, but I feel 9 at another." A fear of the unknown is always a part of the box opening process, and waiting for the uncertainty is 10 part of the fun.

 根据短文内容,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有一项为多余选项。

We know that spending time in nature reduces stress and improves our mood. We also know that the act of hugging ourselves or another living thing can improve our well-being. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} That's exactly what hugging a tree does! Read on to learn more about the benefits of hugging a tree!

Take a fresh breath. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} So, when you are close to a tree and hug it in a forest, you are naturally in a more oxygen-rich environment. You are also more likely to be breathing in fewer pollutants (污染物), especially if the forest or woods are away from a main road or air line.

Improve heart health. Ore study found that when we experience nature—whether by hiking in nearby mountains or simply looking at trees and birds on the way to work—we can increase our heart rate variability (可变性). {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

Reduce stress. Trees are one of nature's greatest stress reducers. It works by connecting you to the environment and allowing you to feel grounded in both space and time. When you hug a tree, you receive grounding energy through its roots. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

If you don't have a tree in your yard, go visit the local park or hike in the closest woods. Find a tree that speaks to you or is impressive in its appearance. Go give it a bug. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}So what if passers-by laugh at you? The bug you give is not just to the tree but to yourself and your spirit.

A. Get over your fear of embarrassment.

B. So, why not try to mix the two together?

C. It is well known that trees produce oxygen.

D. When you hug a tree, you will receive more energy.

E. This can lower the risks of many heart related diseases.

F. It's effective for people who suffer from nervousness and worry.
