In your life, you are sure to have met thousands of people. Can you remember everyone's1 ? Maybe not.

I used to be in a nursing school. During the third month there, we had an important2 . I studied very hard for it. I finished all the questions3 until I read the last one, "What is the name of the woman who cleans our classroom?"

Just then, I was4 at the question! I saw the woman almost every day, but I could only remember what she looked like. How could I know her name? Finally I had to5 my paper without finishing the last question. My classmates didn't6 it, either.

After class, one of my classmates asked the teacher if the last question would affect (影响) our7 . "Of course," the teacher said. "In our life, we will meet a lot of people. Many of them are important and8 to us, although they might play different9 in our society. Anyway, they are worth our attention and care, even if all that we can do is just to smile at them or say hello to them."

I'll never10 the test. Don't ignore (忽视) anyone who should be kindly treated. Sometimes just because of those people, our world changes for the better.

When I was walking back home at around 12：15 pm during my lunch break one day，an apple came flying toward me. It landed just before my feet. I was surprised and thought I was very lucky not to get hit by it. 

The apple was thrown over the fence by a school student. I live opposite a school. A wall separates my apartment building from the school. 

Thinking it was a one﹣off experience，I told my friends，and we laughed about it. 

Then，the week after，I was walking along exactly the same spot at exactly the same time and bam!Another apple came over. This time it landed on the roof of a shed（棚屋）

"Is it my destiny（命运） to get hit by an apple？"

Last week I was walking back home. I checked my phone. It was 12：15 pm. I kept thinking about those two times before when I'd seen an apple thrown over the wall. But suddenly，my thoughts were interrupted by ANOTHER flying apple!This one was a big one. Only one bite（一口） had been taken out of it

Enough was enough. Someone could be really hurt by these apples. Did the student（s）not realize that people live across the wall？Or do they not care？

I told my friend about it. "You should just throw the apple back over the wall. That will teach them，"my friend suggested. But I don't want to play that "game". As they say，an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind. Besides，I might end up hurting someone when I throw it back. 

Maybe I'll call the school and let them know. The student（s）responsible need to know that they might end up hurting someone if they keep throwing their waste. What's more，waste belongs in the bin

A 70-year old man was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his 23-year-old son who had just finished college. Suddenly a crow stayed on their window. The father asked his son, "What is this? The son replied, "It is a crow." After a few minutes, the father asked for the second time. The son said, "Father, I have just told you it is a crow."

After a little while, the old father asked his expression of anger was felt in the son's tone when he said to his father, "It is a crow, a crow." A few seconds later, the father asked his son again. This time the son shouted at his father. "Why do you keep asking me again and again, although I have told you so many times IT IS A CROW?"

Later, the father went to his room and came back with an old diary, which he had kept since his was born. When the son read it, he saw the following words: Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him 23 times that it was a crow, I did not feel angry, but I was glad for his innocence(天真).

After reading these, the son came to know he shouldn't look on his father as a hard task when he was old, and from then on, he tried to be nice to his father.

One early morning, I woke up by a telephone call. It was from a taxi driver. He told me he had my {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（friend）cell phone（手机）.My friend Michael {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（leave）it in the taxi the night before. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} driver called others, but I was the first one to answer his call.

It was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a rainy morning. For taxi drivers in this big city, it's the best time{#blank#}5{#/blank#}（make）money. He asked me where he could drop the cell phone off. I told {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（he）the street where I lived. Then I {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（quick）jumped out of bed and got dressed, so I could meet him at the corner.

When he arrived, I thanked him. And I was even {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（happy）than my friend. He moved to this country a few weeks ago— and I could only imagine（设想）how important his cell phone was to him!

I asked the taxi driver for his name, so my friend could thank him. He said my {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（thank）were all that he needed. Then he drove off.

I e-mailed my friend telling him I had his phone. In the evening, he came to my home and I told him {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I got it. My friend was very excited to get back his cell phone. He said he would help others as much as possible.

 Zheng Qinwen, 21, won China's first Olympic gold medal in the tennis singles at the Paris Olympics on Aug 3rd. 

"Nothing can describe my feeling right now. It's unreal. I' ve always been hoping to get a medal for China. Finally, I made it. " Zheng said after she won. 

 From 2020 to 2024, Zheng's world ranking(排名) jumped from over 600 to No. 7. Years of competitions taught her to play with patience and control her energy in matches. Her performance has won her the title of"Queen Wen" among fans. 

"I love my fans for giving me this title, honestly, because it fits my character well. You need to show yourself as a queen of the court, because you need this energy, this power to show that you are the best. " Zheng told China Daily. 

Playing for China at the Olympics gave Zheng power. She made her way to success after getting through tiring matches that went on for three hours. 

"What I can be sure is that I'm going to fight until the last moment, because I'm not only playing for myself. I'm playing for my country. " Zheng told China Daily. 

 This great success is just the start of a new journey for Zheng. Just a few days after her Olympic victory, she took part in the Cincinnati Open but lost to a Russian player Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova ina third-round match. 

"I was proud to win the Olympic gold medal, but it's time to forget it and start over again. If I think too much about my past success, I won't play my next match well. " Zheng told CCTV.
