At the end of the term, our ethics(伦理学) professor gave us a test. He had told us {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (expect) one and had warned us it would be included in the final grade.

    The test began. Sure enough, I was {#blank#}2{#/blank#} confident that I finished all the questions after forty{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (minute) except the very last one: What is the name of the woman who cleans the lecture hall?

    I thought it was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} joke. I'd seen the woman many times. She'd been working in the building for at least a year. She is short {#blank#}5{#/blank#} dark hair, in her fifties, and we'd even smiled at each other once or twice. But I didn't know {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (she) name because I'd never thought of asking her. I handed in my test paper and the last question {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (leave) unanswered-hoping the final result wouldn't be influenced too {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (bad) because of it. But then one student put up his hand. He hadn't finished the test, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} "I'm just wondering," he said, "will it really change my grade if I don't complete the last question?" "Certainly," our professor {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (smile).

    I've never forgotten that lesson, I also learned that the cleaner's name was Sherry.

When I was little，I was really little.But my dream was big.I dreamed of being a basketball player.I tried out for the teams at school，but I was never given a chance.

As I got older，I did grow a little bigger，but not a lot bigger.On my 12th birthday，I decided to try a new sport：running.I told Grandpa，"I'm going to be a sportsman.""

"Dave，"Grandpa began gently，"if you can't be big，you can do something big."

I ran 12 miles on my 12th birthday.On my 13th birthday，I did it again，but I added an extra（额外的）mile.On my 14th birthday，I ran 14 miles.15 on my 15th，16 on my 16th，and you guessed it—17 miles on my 17th birthday.All this running inspired（激发） another big dream.Someday，I'd run the Boston Marathon（马拉松赛）.I told Grandpa about my decision."But，Dave，you haven't trained for the marathon.Are you sure you're OK？"Grandpa asked.But he was still sure to walk over and cheer me on.I ran fast that day.But I fell at Mile 18 and the workers sent me to the hospital.Later that night，I called Grandpa and told him I failed."No，"he said calmly，"you didn't fail.You discovered something."I did？"I asked.

"Yes，you discovered that big dreams don't just come true.They take work.If you train and work hard，I am sure to wait for you next year and cheer you on."

I trained every day，running miles and miles.Sadly，just two months into my training，Grandpa died.He wouldn't be waiting for my second Boston Marathon.I decided I'd run for him.

That day，I ran fast，"Keep going!You can do it!"His words filled my head as I forced my legs to make each painful step.As I crossed the finish line，I threw my arms in the air and cried， "Grandpa，I did it!"

Do you like sports? Do you play basketball or baseball in your P. E. class or after school?

My sister and I like sports very much. We are in our school tennis club （俱乐部）. We play tennis in the morning. It's very interesting. First, we do some exercises （练习）. Then, the teacher teaches us to play tennis. We watch him carefully. Later, we play in pairs. Some boys can play very well, but we can't. They often come to help us. Our teacher is glad to see this. He says our school has many clubs. 

Sports are really fun, and they are good for us. 

My name is Bob. This summer I went to Shimla and Manali with my family.

After we arrived at Manali on the first day, we lived in a cheap hotel. The next day we were very excited to visit Manali. After delicious breakfast at the hotel, we went on sightseeing tours in the city. We were very surprised to see the fantastic and beautiful nature with high mountains and thick forests around. Then we visited some other places of interest.

The third day after breakfast we went to Rohtang Pass, about 51 kilometers away from Manali. It was really beautiful and we enjoyed a lot by watching the beautiful Himalayas. Then we visited Solang Valley.

The fourth day we went to Shimla by car. After we got there, we had a good sleep at the hotel and woke up in the early morning with the excitement of Shimla tours. After breakfast we visited Shimla. We visited lots of attraction (有吸引力的地方).

The fifth morning we went to Chandigarh Railway Station by car. We took the train to Delhi and returned to our home with the sweet and nice memories of Shimla and Manali tours.
