Have you ever entered a tropical rainforest(热带雨林)?Rainforests make up only a small part of the Earth's surface, about six percent, but there are more kinds of trees than any other area in the whole world.

Tropical rainforests are in Africa, Asia, Central and South America, Australia, and on the Pacific islands. The largest tropical rainforest is the Amazon (亚马逊)Rainforest in South America, which covers 1.2 billion acres, or almost five million square kilometres. The second largest rainforest is in Western Africa.

Rainforests provide us with many things. In fact, the Amazon Rainforest is the "lungs of our planet" because it produces 20% of the world's oxygen(氧气). One fifth of the world's fresh water is also found in the Amazon Rainforest. Furthermore, one half of the world's species of animals, plants and insects live in the Earth's rainforests. 80% of the food we eat first grew in the rainforest. 25%of the drugs we take when we are sick are made of plants that grow only in rainforests. Some of these drugs are even used to fight and cure cancer.

There are four different levels of trees in a rainforest. The forest floor is the lowest layer full of animal life and receives the least amount of light. The under storey is the dark, cool environment under the leaves but over the ground. The canopy layer is the upper parts of most of the trees. The emergent layer contains a small number of very tall trees.

These different parts of a rainforest exist together to create an ecosystem for many animals, plants and human beings.

Each country has its own "art of living". For example, the word "niksen" shows how Dutch people fight stress and tiredness in a fast-paced lifestyle.

The term "niksen" comes from the Dutch word "niks"which refers to"nothing". In practice, "niksen"could be as simple as just relaxing, looking at your surroundings or listening to music- as long as it's without purpose and not done in order to achieve something. Think "simply sitting in a chair or looking out of the window,"says Ruut Veenhoven, a professor at Erasmus University who studies happiness.

"Niksen" sounds contrary to the advice that we were all given as kids. Nowadays, we're always told to stay bus y and work harder than everyone else. But "niksen" is against that attitude. It offers the chance to "deliciously do nothing", as Carolien Hamming told Time. She thinks that "niksen" is very important to staying healthy, since it's a form of men tal relaxation and healing. Just like a wild animal lying in wait for their food,"niksen" seems to be a natural state of being.

For some people,"niksen" can mean more than just men tal relaxation. It's also a way to imagine new ideas or plans. As an early adopter of "niksen", Jenny Holden, adds it to her daily lunch breaks."Within 10minutes of doing nothing-just staring and listening to myself-my head began to clear and pick out my work and home to-do lists", she told the Metro UK. However, for many, doing nothing isn't as simple as it sounds.In fact, it can be somewhat challenging to sit still and stare out a window.

Above all, "niksen" is a suggestion for balancing work and rest. As Dutch-bom writer Ogla Mecking wrote in Whoolly Magazine,"niksen" is the full enjoyment of life's breaks".

Everyone is encouraged to have your "niksen" moments. They give you the strength to face everyday challenges.

In recent years, more and more farmers in China have moved to cities to work. Many of them leave their children behind in villages. These children are called left- behind ones. In China, there are more than 60 million left-behind children. It is about a third of the children in the countryside and almost a quarter of the country's children. 40% of them are under age 5.

Left- behind children often face more problems than others. Safety is a big problem. Many children are too young to look after themselves. It is even sadder that some left- behind children die from drowning(溺水) or traffic accidents.

Another problem is about psychological(心理的) health. Left-behind children are hungry for love. A report says that more than 16% of them think parents don't love them and over 80% always feel not safe. They are usually oversensitive(过度敏感的), and don't get along with others.

Their education is also serious. According to a research, about 20% of left- behind children think they are not as good as others. Many are not interested in studying at school. They often don't do the homework and go to school late. Some children even take part in criminal(犯罪的) activities.

To make left- behind children live a happy and healthy life, our government as well as many people has done a lot. Every one of us should give a hand to them
