Helen Keller was both blind and deaf. 1 she couldn't see or hear, she still became a skilled writer and speaker.

Keller was born on June 27, 1880, in Tuscumbia, Alabama. When she was 19 months old, she became very 2 and the illness made her unable to see or hear.

When Keller was 6, she got a teacher named Anne Sullivan. Sullivan used Keller's sense of 3 to teach her. She handed Keller a doll. Then she wrote the letters of the word "doll" on Keller's hand so that Keller can 4 the connection between the letters and the object she was holding. Then she learned that things had names.

I was in the most beautiful city in the world, yet I only wanted home.

It was an amazing week for my husband and me –the trip of a lifetime. Months ago, when my husband told me that he would have a meeting in London. I expressed my1 to go to Europe together with him. Then we asked his mother to 2 our two children and started off.

We hurried back to our hotel and then to the airport …

Finally, we got home. We rushed into our children's bedroom. Seeing our two children, I suddenly realized the truth: there is no10 sight(风景)in the world than your children's faces that greet you at home.

Ma Wenbo, a nine- year- old boy, saved his family and people next door out of a fire on December 18th.

"I noticed the strange smell at about 10 o'clock {#blank#}1{#/blank#}night. I got up and ran towards my father's room. When I opened the door, my father {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (sleep). I woke him up immediately," Ma said.

Luckily, Ma was able to run out. He {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (knock) on other people's doors and stopped a car. Then he asked the driver {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (call) firemen. The firemen arrived in just a few minutes. They saved Ma's father and two {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(woman) on the fourth floor. In the end, all 18 people in {#blank#}8{#/blank#}building were safe.

Ma's father was proud of him. "He did some training about fire at school {#blank#}9{#/blank#} he knew what to do. He was much {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(calm) than I was."
