Jobs at Monkey Business Camp

We are looking for those who are energetic, warm-hearted, experienced and deeply love their jobs with kids.

SUMMER JOBS

We have 3 main jobs, and workers in all positions work 32-40 hours every week.

⒈Site Director has the most experience and the most duty. Pay: $20-$24/hour.

⒉Group Leader is the next level. They lead some activities, and step in for Site Director if he/ she is on break. Pay: $15.50-$19.50/hour.

⒊Counselors(辅导老师) are the biggest part of our team and their main job is playing with the campers and supporting decisions of the leadership. Counselors will lead games, songs, etc. Pay: usually $15/hour.

SUMMER PROGRAMS

We have 3 summer programs:

⒈Girls/Boys on the Go Field Trip Camps for ages 9-13, and youth leaders ages 14+.

⒉Tilden Outdoor Camp for ages 4-10 and youth leaders ages 11+.

⒊Pre-K Camp for ages 3-4, and youth leaders ages 10+.

YEAR-ROUND JOBS

Receive more benefits(好处) for that — up to $2,000/year! We offer above basic pay for the field, and better health care services for those who can work in all of our school break camps.

REQUIRED DATES

February Camp 2021: February 18-21.

Spring Camp 2021: March 30-April 3.

Summer 2021:

Tilden Outdoor Camp: June 8-August 21.

Pre-K Camp: August 3-21.

Girls/Boys on the Go Field Trip Camps: August 15-31.

Thanksgiving Camp 2021: November 23-25.

Winter Camp 2021: December 21-24 & December 28-31.

The Science and Technology Museum in Beijing Olympic Village is China's most important museum for science and technology. It was first opened in 1988 to further the scientific understanding and curiosity (好奇心) of its visitors. Each one of its four floors is full of exhibits, activities and experiments to lead every visitor into a world of wonder. Some of the areas of interest are aerospace engineering, transportation, machines, and the environment.

The museum has six exhibition halls, four special effects theaters, many labs, classrooms and lecture halls.

Subway Lines:

Take Line 8 to Olympic Park Station, get out from Exit G and walk north for 13 minutes.

Take Line 8 to the South Gate of Forest Park Station, get out from Exit C and walk south for 10 minutes.

Take Line 15 to Datun East Road Station, get out from Exit A1 and walk north for about 15 minutes.

Lab

Safety Rules

 Science labs offer great opportunities for learning, teaching, and research. 

They also pose hazards that require proper safety precautions. 

Stay safe when conducting your labs by following these guidelines.

 

Dress appropriately 

Tie back long hair, and wear suitable gloves, googles, and other protective equipment. 

Proper supervision

Don't perform lab experiments without instructor supervision(unless given permission to do so).

 

Know location of emergency numbers & 

safety equipment     

Know the location of safety equipment and emergency phone numbers (such as poison control) so you can access them quickly if necessary.

No food

Don't eat or drink in the lab and never taste chemicals.

ID hazards

 Identify hazardous materials before beginning labs.

Be attentive 

Be attentive while in the lab. Don't leave lit Bunsen burners unattended or leave an experiment in progress.

Be careful when handling hot glassware 

Turn off all heating appliances when not in use. Keep flammable your workspace.

 

Keep a

clean

workspace

Don't obstruct work areas, floors, or exits. Keep coats, bags and other personal items stored in designated areas away from the lab. Don't block sink drains with debris.

Properly dispose of anything that breaks. Report cuts, spills and broken glass to your instructor immediately

 

Clean up

After completing the lab, carefully clean your workspace and the equipment, and wash your hands.
