I went to England last year. I enjoyed my stay, and I noticed something interesting with the English way {#blank#}1{#/blank#} life.

    For example, you must say Mr and Mrs when you meet someone for the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (one) time. Where you get to know each other {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (well) or when they ask you to, you can just use their first names.

    One day, we visited some friends and had afternoon tea together. Afternoon tea is not just a drink 4 a light meal at around {#blank#}4{#/blank#} p. m. We ate {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (sandwich) and a large fruit cake. In England, you usually drink tea with milk. So I tried to drink tea with milk too.

    Fish and chips is {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (tradition) food in England, You can buy it and eat it in special fish and chip shops on the high street, or you can take it away and eat it with your fingers! It is delicious!

    At the bus stop, you {#blank#}7{#/blank#} push your way onto the bus. You need {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (stand) in a line and wait your turn. Sometimes people are slow to get on the bus. Once I noticed a gentleman {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (touch) a young man on the shoulder, smile {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (polite) and say, waiting for this bus.

Lixia, or the Start of Summer, is the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (seven) of the 24 Chinese solar terms (节气) which falls on May 6 of this year. It symbolizes (象征) the passing from spring {#blank#}2{#/blank#} summer.

With the heat of summer, plants and crops will begin to grow much {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (fast). So farmers are always happy to welcome the arrival of Lixia. This is {#blank#}4{#/blank#} best time of the year to plant early rice in the southern part of China. Chinese has plenty of old sayings {#blank#}5{#/blank#} are used to warn people not to be lazy during this period of time.

In China, people celebrate the day of Lixia in different ways. For example, in some places people cook "Five-Colored Rice". Usually, it is {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (make) from five kinds of beans (豆)—mung bean, red bean, yellow bean, black bean and green bean. It stands for people's good wishes for a colorful life. People also have the custom of {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (eat) some different kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables. On the day of Lixia, children will wear a bag with an egg around their necks in some areas. This is believed to help keep {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (they) safe and healthy. Other {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (tradition) of Lixia include the singing of beautiful folk songs. And people also weigh themselves on Lixia. When the summer {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (pass), they'll weigh themselves again to see how many pounds they have lost during the hot season.

Confucius teaches us wisdom to deal with confusion, anxiety and fear. 

Confusion, worry, fear. . . Having such bad feelings is not strange to us. But how can we get through these challenges? We can find Confucius' wisdom in The Analects of Confucius. 

子曰："知者不惑，仁者不忧，勇者不惧。"——《论语》

Confucius said: "The wise are free from doubts, the benevolent from anxiety, and the brave from fear. "—The Analects of Confucius

What does it mean?

Wei Shengkun is a Chinese teacher from the Affiliated High School of Peking University in Beijing. He shares that being wise, kind and brave seem simple and easily understood. However, what makes a person truly wise is questioned. 

Zhu Xi, a great thinker in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), believed that a truly wise person understand s the main rules of the world. This shows the importance of learning and thinking, because only through these can we truly become wise. Zhu also pointed out that the most important thing in life is to be kind to others and have a heart full of kindness. Such a person won't worry because their kindness helps people around them and helps themselves as well. This person will also have the courage to face the unknown, so they won't fear anything. 

In all, to overcome(克服) bad feelings, we need to start learning as soon as possible and look for the world's greatest truths.
