Jack and Mike were good friends. Sometimes they were friendly to each other. Sometimes they were not. But the other students around them said they were like brothers.
One day, they went out for a walk together. At noon, they wanted to eat something and they went into a restaurant. The waiter asked them," What can I do for you?”
"Two apple pies for us first. " said Jack.
When the waiter put two apple pies on the table, Mike took the bigger one quickly. Jack got angry. "You are not polite. Why didn't you take the smaller one?" Jack said.
"But I was right," said Mike with a smile. "If I let you take first, which one do you take?”
"I will take the smaller one," said Jack. "Yes," Mike said, "If you take the smaller one, the bigger one will be mine. Don't you think so?”
"Uh," Jack couldn't give a good answer.
Mary: Good morning, Ken!
Ken: Good morning! You are early. When do you usually get up?
Mary: I usually get up at 6:30 in the morning.
Ken: When do you go to school?
Mary: I go to school at six fifty.
Ken: When do you have lunch at school?
Mary: Usually at 1:30 pm.
Ken: Do you finish class and go home at 5:00 in the afternoon?
Mary: No, I finish class at five o'clock. But I have a dancing training after school. So I go home at 5:30 pm.
Ken: When do you go to bed?
Mary: At 9:30 or 10 o'clock.
