An unusual experiment suggests that painting eyes on rear (屁股)ends of cows may help protect them from large predators like lions.
They worked with the local farmers in the Okavango area. Over 2,000 cows on !

The eyes worked very well. Of the 683 cows with eyes painted, none were killed in the four-year period. 315 of the 835cows without ''eyes'' were killed.
