On January 27, in order to win the new pneumonia Resistance War (抗击新型肺炎战), the Ministry of Education issued (教育部公布) a notice on putting off the start time of school in spring 2020. It was said that school should not start before February 17. The exact start time of school will depend on situations and further notices.

However, many parents are very worried that putting off the start of school may affect children's studies. If they have such a long winter vacation, children will not learn any knowledge, read books or study at all. They may forget what they have learned before. Staying at home for a long time will make them keep eating. sleeping and playing, which seriously affect their physical and mental health.

In short, the close of school influences learning and develops bad habits, so how should we avoid these problems? Local education departments have also issued a notice, that is, to organize on create a network platform (平台),where necessary courses will be shown every day, and online teaching will be given by excellent teachers of the subject, and students can learn at home through computer or mobile network.

It can not only keep students indoors and not worry about the infection (感染) of the disease, but also make them study at home, improve their learning ability, and truly achieve "no suspension of classes". Both the platform itself and the recorded lesson resources are more useful, and are welcomed by parents and teachers. Of course, except for learning at home, it is also necessary to teach children about health knowledge, specially how to keep away from touching virus and also necessary for children to do some physical exercises or some games, which is good for physical health at home.

Willie and his little dog Bounce were best friends. Willie taught his dog many interesting tricks, and often said that Bounce could do almost anything in the world but talk.

One day, Willie walked with Bounce down to the river, which was very close to his father Mr. Brown's store.

Willie began to throw stones into the water and watch ripples (涟漪). Bounce lay on the grass, enjoying the warm sunshine.

There were some logs (原木) floating in the river near the bank. Willie jumped upon one of them to see if he could throw a stone across the river. Just as he was about to throw, the log turned and he fell into the water. He was so scared, for he did not know how to swim, and there was no one nearby.

Not being a big water dog, poor Bounce ran up and down the bank two or three times, barking (叫), looking first at Willie and then around. Then he ran to Mr. Brown's store as fast as he could.

When he got there, he caught hold of Mr. Brown's clothes, then ran to the door, then back again, catching at him, barking and jumping. Mr. Brown realized something was wrong. He went with the dog.

Soon the father came to the river, and saw Willie struggling (挣扎) in the water. Luckily, his father saved him. When he got over his fear, no one seemed to be more delighted than Bounce, his true friend.

It is natural for young people to admire cool young "idols(偶像)". We spend a lot of time on them — even {#blank#}1{#/blank#} time than we spend on our studies or work. We often wonder what we could do {#blank#}2{#/blank#} cool like them.

Well, guess what? Many of your idols {#blank#}3{#/blank#} to "look" cool. If you could see into their private lives, you would find these stars aren't so bright. Some of {#blank#}4{#/blank#} might not be as honest, kind or hard-working as you are!

When I was a teenager, I admired pop idols, too. Then, one day, I discovered Leonard Cohen and Neil Young. They were very common people {#blank#}5{#/blank#} played the guitar. They wore no special clothes, and they had no crazy fans. They didn't need to be special because their songs were great and meaningful. They told the {#blank#}6{#/blank#}: Life is hard and the road you take might sometimes be lonely. They taught me that it was okay if I was not popular and cool all of the time. I still listen to them today.

Modern "idol culture" often {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the wrong message that life is always easy and fun. But the best actors, the most {#blank#}8{#/blank#} sports stars and the most creative scientists all face many difficulties.

Idols can serve as important role {#blank#}9{#/blank#} in our lives, so it's very important to choose the right ones. We should admire people who teach us important values that can guide us on the right road. That's what we {#blank#}10{#/blank#} need. The next time you see some pretty, popular "stars", ask yourself: Do I really need these people in my life?

You don't have to be a scientist to solve big environmental problems. One Dutch designer is finding creative ways to make a change - and he's inviting bikers to join him.

Daan Ronscgaarde. 38, is a designer from Holland. He uses creative ideas to improve city life. For his Smog(雾霾)Free Project, he designed a special tower that cleans air in Chinese parks. In Holland, he designed a shining bicycle path.

Now Daan and his team are working with engineers at Chinese bike - sharing company Ofo to create a new product for public use. It's an air - cleaning machine connected to a bicycle and is part of the Smog Free Project. In smoggy weather, the machine would breathe in the air in front of the bike and blow out a stream of clean air toward the biker's face.

It's no secret that air pollution is a big problem for China. In winter, it's common for thick clouds of haze(霾), caused largely by factory production, burning of coal and car emissions(排放物) to cover areas of China.

In 2016, only one - fourth of Chinese cities met the country's air quality standards, according to a survey of 338 cities nationwide from the Ministry of Environmental Protection "

Of course one tower and a few bikes won't solve China's air pollution problem, " Daan said. " But smog - free bikes are an exciting idea that will hopefully inspire communities to create greener cities. "

It's said that about 4% of people sleepwalk(梦游) at night during their lives. That is, you or some of your families and friends have done so. Sleepwalking happens while one is sleeping. Sleepwalkers walk slowly around the house, say something and then go back to sleep. Their eyes are usually open and look right at you as if they were awake. The next day, they remember nothing when they are asked about what happened the night before.

Sleepwalking is a common problem for many children from 4 to 12 years old. It could run in family. If one of the parents is a sleepwalker, their children may be, too. Scientists still don't know why people sleepwalk, but they find common facts that may lead to sleepwalking. For example, if one is under stress, gets sick or doesn't have enough sleep, he or she will have more chances to sleepwalk. Sleepwalking itself isn't bad, but it may make sleepwalkers get hurt because they are in fact"sleeping" and don't know what they are doing. It is important to keep sleepwalkers from falling down, running into something and even walking out to drive.

What can we do for sleepwalkers? First, try not to wake up a sleepwalker because it may make him or her scared. All you have to do is to show the sleepwalker the way back to bed. Second, close the windows and doors to stop sleepwalkers from going out. Third, keep any things that may hurt the sleepwalkers away. Remember, if you find someone sleepwalking, the most important thing is to make sure he or she is safe.
