Once there was a king. He liked writing stories, but his stories were not good. People were afraid of him, so they all said his stories were good. One day the king showed his stories to a famous writer. The writer said his stories were too bad and he should throw them into fire. The king got very angry with him and sent him to prison(监狱). After some time, the king set him free(释放). Again he showed the writer some of his new stories and asked what he thought of them. After reading them, the writer turned to the soldiers(士兵) at once(立刻) and said, "Take me back to prison, please."

    Sam is a student. He has only four lessons every day, but he goes to school six days a week. The following is his school timetable (时间表).

Mike and Helen are on the phone.

Mike: Hello, this is Mike. Who's that?

Helen: Hello, Mike. This is Helen. Tomorrow is Saturday. What are you going to do?

Helen: Let's go to Chinatown together.

    Jim is a pupil. He often walks to school at seven thirty. He also often rides his bike to school. He is in Class Two, Grade Six. He has four classes in the morning and two classes in the afternoon. He learns Chinese and English. Jim likes swimming, skating and ball games. In the afternoon, he often plays basketball with his classmates. He goes home at 5:00. He often does his homework in the evening. Sometimes he watches TV for an hour. He goes to bed at 9:00.
