Dogs are very sociable(合群的) animals. When owners go out and leave their dogs alone, the dogs get worried and upset. Dogs should be trained(训练) to be on their own while still young instead of when they are older and set in their ways. When owners are not around, they should provide some toys for their dogs to play with. Leaving the radio or television on might also provide relaxing background noise.
Howling(嚎叫) is a form of communication. Dogs do it to tell one another where they are. Some dogs howl when they are lonely, while others do it when greeting strangers whom they are seeing for the first time. Some even howl to music and do this because it is fun.
When it comes to training dogs, giving rewards is a far better way than using punishment. Food makes an excellent reward, and if they do not respond(反应) to this, owners should try touching. Dogs like being touched by owners very much. Words of praise work well too, but not as well as food or touch. It helps if owners spend more time with their dogs.
Recently,16-year-old Olympic champion Quan Hongchan attracted most attention in her first Asian Games held in Hangzhou, 2023. She's made history in the women's10-meter platform diving event. Quan was born in the city of Zhanjiang in south China's Guangdon g Province, and started diving at the age of 7. In 2018, she joined the Guangdong Diving Team, spending three years there before breaking into the national team at the end of 2020. He Weiyi, a diving coach at the Guangdon g Provincial Sports Team said, "Up on the 10-meter platform, it was where Quan showed her talent. It looks high up here, but believe it or not, in just three years' time, Quan could manage some very difficult sets of movements. Her development was much quicker than most athletes, I'd say she's got outstanding talent." But talent alone doesn't always make sure of success. For Quan, hard work has been the key to success. Quan always practices harder than other athletes around her age. Because of her great effort and achievement in diving, she has attracted the public attention all over the world. "Quan is actually a very easygoing person and she is always energetic during training and competition. She always carries a smile and shines in many ways. I hope she will always have the heart she has now and keep chasing her dreams." said 18-year-old Chen, a teammate, during an exclusive (独家的) interview with China Daily. |
