The two "poets" developed by EXROBOTS were the most popular. They not only look like humans but also can understand human languages and follow {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (direction). They can express feelings such as joy, anger and {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (sad). Pet-shaped robots also drew a large number of visitors. The CyberDog 2, for example, do flips (空翻) and many other tricks {#blank#}8{#/blank#} a real dog. A robot cat named MetaCat with blue eyes {#blank#}9{#/blank#} soft hair will shake its head when people touch it.

Do you ever feel like there's not enough time in the day? That time is somehow racing away from you, and it is impossible to fit everything in. But then. you step outside into the countryside and suddenly everything seems slower, more relaxed, like time has somehow changed. It's not just you-recent research showed nature can control our sense of time.

Richardo Correia, the researcher at the University of Finland, found that being in nature may change how we experience time and perhaps, even give us the sense of time abundance(充裕). Correia compared people's experiences of time when they performed different types of tasks in cities and natural environments. It showed that people reported a sense of expanded time when they were in nature compared to when they were in cities. For example, a walk through the countryside felt longer than a city walk of the same distance.

It's not just our sense of time in the moment which appears to be changed by the natural world, and it's alsoour sense of the past and future. Earlier research shows that spending time in nature helps to move our focus from44the immediate(目前的) moment towards our future needs. So rather than focusing on the stress of the demands(需求)on our time, nature helps us to see the bigger picture. This can help us focus on what's important so that we meet our long-term goals. This is partly because spending time in nature appears to make us less impulsive(冲动的)，enabling us to think more about future benefits instead of wanting immediate ones.

There are many deserts on the earth. And here are some facts you may find interesting. 

What are deserts like?

Deserts can be hot and dry places. Rain may not fall there for months or years. Some deserts are sandy and stony (多石的). Deserts can also be very windy places. The wind can change the shape of the deserts. It moves sand around from place to place. 

Temperatures in the deserts can vary very much. During the daytime, the temperature may reach 40℃ even in the shade (阴凉处). At night, deserts can become very cold. In winter there may even be a frost(霜冻) in the early morning. 

Living in the deserts

The camel is sometimes called"the ship of the desert". It stores food in its hump (驼峰) and can go for days without water. It has large feet which help it not to fall into the soft sand. Its long eyelashes keep out the sand during sandstorms. 

An oasis is an area of the desert where water may be found. The water may be in pools or under the ground. People and animals visit an oasis to find something to eat and drink. Plants grow at an oasis. Some farmers are able to grow crops there. 

The Arabian Desert

The Arabian Desert lies between the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf. In some parts of the desert, it is too hot for people to live. Oil was discovered under parts of the desert. This oil has made some countries in the area very rich. Much of the money has been spent building fine cities with lovely parks and lakes, and people live a comfortable life there. 

Guyu is known as "Grain Rain". It is the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (six) solar term in the traditional Chinese calendar. This year, it starts from April 19.

It takes {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (it) name from the Chinese saying "rain produces hundreds of grains (雨生百谷)". The name {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (show) the relationship between weather and farming during this period. As the last solar term in spring, this period sees warmer weather and {#blank#}4{#/blank#} increase in rainy days. It creates a wonderful environment for plants and animals. For farmers, guyu marks {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (good) time for planting.

"Grain Rain is also a solar term that shows rich traditional Chinese {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (culture) characteristics (特征)," Chinese culture expert Liu Xiaochang told Cover News. In Chinese mythology, before 2,500 BC, Cang Jie created a set of characters {#blank#}7{#/blank#} better record-keeping. Following his invention, grains began {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (rain) down from the sky.

Though we do not know if Cang Jie really did create the characters, Grain Rain day {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (become) a day to honour Cang Jie and the invention of the Chinese language.

The United {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (Nation) set April 20 as the yearly UN Chinese Language Day. It happens right with Grain Rain day, which typically falls between April 19 and 21.
