Imagineyou are taking a walk on the beautiful beach. Just then, your feet step oversomething and you hear a crack (噼啪声) —an empty plastic bottle. Things like thisare happening more often because of sea rubbish.

    Studiesshow that 80%of all the waste is from the land. The waste is mainly plastics (塑料制品) which are really hard todegrade (降解). So the rubbish will remain there for along time. Some of the pollution is caused accidentally. For example, about10,000 product-filled boxes are lost at sea every year from business ships.Sometimes people just throw things into the water from boats or land. Manylarge rubbish areas are formed in the North Pacific Ocean.

   Thankfully, the situation isn't ignored (忽视). Groups like the National Oceanic and AtmosphericAssociation (NOAA) are taking action to help clean the sea. Since 2006, 76projects have cleared out 3,814 metric tons (公吨) ofrubbish from the sea. Methods of rubbish cleaning include using machines toremove (移除) the waste away from the surface of seawater. Besides, special nets are set by the mouths of rivers to stop therubbish before it reaches the sea. If everyone does his part, sea rubbish seemslike a problem that can be solved.

16﹣year﹣old Michael began using social media to cheer up teenagers of his age to follow their dreams on his baseball blogs. Michael talked about sportspeople and how they would face their challenges. 

Lesein，14 years old，first learned about climate change when he was twelve years old. His home country，650 acres of forest each year. 

With a deep love of soccer，Lesein started Trees for Goals，planting a tree for every goal he scored in a match. Later the school's soccer and basketball teams all followed him. In 2019，000 trees in forests outside of Nairobi were planted. Now the government provides trees for them to plant. 

Alexis Lewis，a 15﹣year﹣old inventor designed a simple wheelchair with bamboo to help poor people who need to transport children many miles to hospitals. Another invention of his is a special mask which can be thrown through a window of a smoke﹣filled building to people inside. 

Alexis said， "People are dying in a fire accident because they can't be saved in time，Another reason why I want to invent something is that I love physics and I use it to improve technologies. " Alexis also told our reporter that he wanted children to know that inventors can be everybody who's ever tried to solve a problem. 

These young people are certainly shining examples to show you're never too young to make a difference.

I see all the Spider- Man movies and Spider Man is always my favorite hero (英雄). This isn't because he could do anything. For example, he can't fly, unlike other superheroes, but he fights with bad people all the time. This makes him my favorite superhero.

I also like Peter Parker in the movie. He has the superpower(超能力) when he was just a student. He has to learn to be a common (普通的) person and at the same time, being a superhero is difficult for him, so he has to work hard. In many ways, he's very common. He has many of the same problems like other people. He is very shy. And he can't tell anyone about his story, and this makes him stay away from people.

I think everyone can learn something from Spider Man. He can't always make right decisions (决定), but every time he learns from his mistakes (错误). The important thing is that he always helps people in need. This makes him a true hero.

Do you feel comfortable when the cold winter comes? Many say they feel uncomfortable in very cold weather. But you should consider yourself lucky because you don't live in Siberia (西伯利亚). 

In many places in Siberia, the winter is always very long and it's very, very cold! It starts to snow in November and the snow won't leave until May. The temperature is usually about -25℃, but it's sometimes much colder than that. When it's —35℃, children can't go to school, but grown- ups (成人) still go to work! And in some areas, the temperature can drop(下降) to -70℃. In spring and summer it is often cloud y and it often rains a lot, and people don't often see the sun. 

You may think there is nothing but ice and snow in Siberia. In fact, many people live there and there are lots of forests. Many tall trees grow there. People living there wear a lot of warm clothes. All the houses have heating (供暖), so it's never cold inside. In winter, people close the windows to stop the wind from getting in, and they don't open them again before spring comes. 

Do you like to go to the library? If you are lucky, you may meet a pig there. Her name is Daisy II. The pig star travels to different libraries for story hours. She helps teach children that reading is fun. 

Everything started in 1995. That year, Mr. and Mrs. Minor got a pet pig called Daisy. Daisy loved different people. She even did a Kiss­ A ­Pig event. People paid to give Daisy a kiss and later the Minors gave the money to children in need. A librarian (图书管理员) saw Daisy at the event. It gave her a good idea. She invited (邀请) Daisy to the library for story hours. Mr. Minor accepted the invitation. 

Daisy became popular soon. Children loved seeing her in the library. More and more libraries invited Daisy for story hours. Mr. Minor gave up his job. He and Daisy started traveling around the country together. 

In 2009, Daisy died of old age. Daisy II took over the show. Now, Mr. Minor travels with Daisy II. "I did over 300 shows last year, " Mr. Minor says. He plans to do more this year. "Meeting Daisy makes kids want to read more about pigs, " he says. "Then they may decide to read something else. "
