In July, my friend Jim and I are going to have a camping trip. We will travel for four weeks and will tour the United States and part of Canada.

    We decided to go camping because we didn't have to spend much money in that way.

    We had to make our plan very carefully. First, the car we are going to drive is very small, so we decided to take only one small suitcase(皮箱) each and as few camping things as possible (尽可能的). We will take some medicine with us to stop insects(昆虫) from hurting us, and also food for outdoor meals. Second, there is a lot to see in the United States and Canada, so we had to decide on which way we wanted to drive before we started.

    All of this planning took a long time.

    The date we are leaving is July 2nd. We want to see and do many things on our camping tour. We want to climb the hills and swim in cool rivers and lakes. We want to go sightseeing in many cities and talk to many people. We also want to find a hotel room if it rains at night. We hope to have an exciting and interesting trip.

    Ma Hua graduated from Fudan University. He had a good career in IT and a great life in Shanghai, but he felt there was something missing from his life. He wanted to help others to improve their lives, so in March 2013 he gave up his job. Then he moved to south-west China to do voluntary work in a village primary school.

    He soon became an important member of the local people. In his class, he painted pictures on the walls to help students remember English words. He also spent his money building a playground for the children.

Ma Hua quickly got used to his new life. He got great satisfaction(满意) from his work and felt very happy, even though life there was hard—he had to melt(融化) ice for water and grow vegetables for food. When he was free, he wrote poems describing the peace and beauty around him. Sometimes he would go walking in the mountains and enjoy the beautiful view. Sadly Ma Hua was killed in a car accident in July 2014 at the age of 31. His death was a great loss to all those who knew him, but it is a comfort to know that he lived happily, doing what he loved and enriching the lives of others.

    It was Mother's Day, but the young mother was a little unhappy, because she was 800 miles away from her parents. In the morning she phoned her mother to wish her a happy Mother's Day, and her mother told her about the beautiful lilacs（丁香）in the garden.

    Later that day, when she told her husband about the lilacs, he said, "I know where we can find all that you want. Get the children and come on. "So they went, driving down the country roads.

    There on a small hill, they saw a lot of beautiful purple lilacs. The young woman ran quickly to enjoy the flowers. Carefully, she picked a few here and a few there. On their way home there was a smile on her face.

    When they were passing a nursing home（养老院）, the young woman saw an old granny sitting in a chair. She had no children with her. They stopped the car and the young woman walked to the old woman, put the flowers in her hands, and smiled at her. The old granny thanked her again and again. She smiled happily, too.

    When the young mother came back to her car, her children asked her, "Who is that old granny？Why did you give our flowers to her？"

    "I don't know her," their mother said. "But it's Mother's Day, and she has no children. I have all of you, and I still have my mother. Just think how much those flowers meant to her."

Tom gets up at 5:30 this morning. He and his mom need to leave home very 1 and take the first 2 to the airport(机场). 3  will go on a trip. They can't be late 4 the plane.

"It's my 5 plane trip,"he tells the bus driver."That's 6 !"the bus driver says. They get to the airport and then Tom 7 his bag onto the plane." How cool the plane is!"he says to his mom. Tom has never traveled(旅行) by plane, 8 he is a little afraid. Then— Whoosh! The plane is far from the ground. On the ground, cars and buses look very 9 . Tom thinks it's cool, so he takes some 10 of them.
