Hello! Boys and girls, I think most of you like travelling. Usually, people feel excited before a tour.  Then how can you make your tour more interesting and meaningful? Here is some advice.

First, Look! Certainly we should look at the scenery (风景) very carefully.  We should first know something about the place, such as its geography, its history and its famous people, etc. When we are ready for the tour, we can really understand the place during our tour even if we don't have much time.

Second, Take photos! When we visit a place of interest, most of us take cameras.

Third, Tastes! Some people like to buy some food because they like it most during their tour. My suggestion is: don't buy the food that you can buy in your own city or town.  Maybe you have only one chance to taste it in your life.

Fourth, Write!  So you can write something down about what you see and what you think during the tour. Later, when you read it, you will find that you have pleasure during the tour.

    Have a good trip!

A. If you want to take come photos, remember to choose the most special scenery.

B. You had better taste something special in the place of interest.

C. But during it or after it, they feel it is a waste (浪费) of time.

D. When you visit a place, you should take a pen and a note.

E. Before we leave our house, we should find some books about the place of interest.

Many people think successful people are often talkative and outgoing. They think quiet people are much less confident or less intelligent. When parents find their children talking {#blank#}1{#/blank#} than other children, they may become worried and try their best to make their children outgoing.

In fact, it's not necessary to try to make quiet people outgoing. Just let them be {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. It is more possible for quiet people to become successful because of their own advantages.

Quiet people listen more than they talk, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} they learn a lot. They don't show their own ideas often. They usually say something {#blank#}4{#/blank#} or interesting when they need to speak.

Quiet people can get trust {#blank#}5{#/blank#}. Because of their fewer talks, they {#blank#}6{#/blank#} as honest and can keep secrets in business or in other social situations.

They can prepare things well. As a saying goes: "Preparedness ensures success and unpreparedness spells {#blank#}7{#/blank#}." Careful planning is necessary if a person wants to get {#blank#}8{#/blank#} results. When it comes to making plans, quiet people often do it very carefully. They think about what they need to do and how to make it better {#blank#}9{#/blank#} their goals.

They are less possible to be distracted (分神) by other people or things. They can pay attention to a task and finish it faster than those who talk too much. What's more, quiet people also have the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} to keep doing something for longer. They seldom get bored or lose interest in what they're doing.

Recently, secondhand transaction(交易) has become quite popular in our daily life. More and more secondhand goods have found their way in the market, such as used books, furniture and even cars. Why do so many people like to buy secondhand goods? One of the most important reasons is that the Internet provides a more convenient and quicker transaction platform(平台) for secondhand goods.

Li Li, 29, an office worker in Shanghai, sells used products online. Since she began to cooperate with a secondhand transaction platform two years ago, she has sold nearly 14,000 yuan of goods.

The size of China's secondhand product market rose from about 300 billion yuan in 2015 to more than 1 trillion yuan in 2022. Xinhua News Agency reported that the rapidly growing Chinese online resale platforms have also driven secondhand transactions.

"The increase shows Chinese young people's changing views on consum-ption(消费)," said Zhang Li, a researcher from the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation. "Traditionally, buying used products is often seen as a sign of being poor that is socially shameful. But today they focus on the actual value of the product instead of whether it is completely new," said Zhang.

Secondhand consumption also shows the ideas of environmental protection and the need to cut down on waste. "Humans are the creators of things in life and should be responsible for everything they create," said Lu Yaping, the founder of a secondhand goods exchange platform.

 阅读下面短文, 从每题所给的A、B、C、D四个选项中选出最佳选项。

Have you ever wondered where all the expired(过期的) food in the supermarket goes? Well, some is given away to food banks and some is used to feed animals. But much of it unluckily ends up as rubbish. A report shows that around 300,000 metric tons of food is wasted per year. That is a quite enormous number, enough to feed millions of people around the world for several days.

To reduce(减少) food waste, many supermarkets in the UK have started using an AI system developed by Wasteless, an Israeli company, to mark the prices of food dynamically(动态地). The system is able to check if a product is going to be expired, and then decide whether to reduce its price or not.

If the amount of the product is still large, the price might be lowered a lot. But if the product is in high demand(需求), the drop in price will be less. The system helps sell the food before it becomes expired.

"The system can help reduce food waste greatly. It can also let stores know what products are not popular. That can prevent them from over-ordering," the company says.

But while the new system means less food waste, it might make it hard for customers to know how much a product costs at first. And uncertain prices can also be a challenge for those who are not that rich. Besides, it may even make some products more expensive in certain areas than in others, if they are in great demand.
