When I was eight years old，my family moved from Edinburgh to London because my father started a new job here. The new place was far away from my grandmother，so we sometimes spent a couple of hours driving to Edinburgh to visit her when we missed her terribly. Her house was hundreds of miles away but the trip was never boring. 

Grandma never had much. She didn't have expensive things，or live in a nice house. But I could feel with my heart that she loved us deeply，especially when my world was turned upside down two years later. Grandma knew that my mother and father divorced and I lived with my father. I would actually like to live with my mother. 

I still remember those little things. Grandma allowed me to sit on the top of her kitchen table，getting me to dip（蘸）my fingers in the sugar bowl or drink from her coffee cup. Grandma had a beautiful bottle high on a shelf. One day after her death，I received a box. To my surprise，I found the bottle inside. She remembered once I had asked her for it. 

Grandma saved her pennies in a glass jar（罐）. She could have used those pennies herself but she kept them for my brother Tommie and me. And I was always excited to divide the pennies between my brother and me. "One for you，one for me. " I would repeat until the jar was empty. I don't remember how much we got on our visits，but I know that's how she loved us and cared about us when we were far away from her. So if I am lucky enough to find a penny lying on the ground one day. I am sure it is just the one from Grandma in heaven（天堂）. 

Those childhood memories have never gone away from me. Instead，they still give me great feelings through the years. A Grandma's love stays with a grandchild as long as he needs it. You know，love is just like that. 

Bob likes to play sports, but he doesn't have any things for sports. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} He wants to buy a volleyball and two pairs of ping - pong bats, too. He goes to the sports store. The basketballs are $ 10, volleyballs are $ 9 and ping- pong bats are $ 5 for a pair. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} Then he buys a basketball, a volleyball and two pairs of ping- pong bats. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} And then he wants to buy a soccer ball. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} He thinks it's too expensive(贵的).

Xia Boyu who is 70 years old is the first Chinese double amputee ( 被 截 肢 者 ) to reach the top of Mount Qomolangma, the highest mountain in the world. He will continue1 on the high slopes (坡 度) of life. 

"2 I lost my legs, I don't think I am worse than the others, " he says. "I fight with my fate and challenge myself. "People often talk about dreams, but Xia is the kind of person who takes action to3 them. On May 14 last year, Xia made his4 come true by reaching the top of Mount Qomolangma. 5 didn't come easy. He had failed in reaching the top of the mountain four times before becoming a double amputee. 

Xia's first try was in 1975 when he lost his legs. Then he made other three tries in 2014, 2015 and 2016 but didn't succeed6 bad weather or an earthquake. 

"When I finally stood on the top of the mountain, I was pretty7 , not as excited as I had expected, " he recalls. "In the earlier years, I often dreamed about reaching the top. However, when it8 came true, it seemed that my heart found peace. "

Xia stayed at the9 for around 10 minutes. He took some pictures with others and looked 10 the mountain. At that moment, he felt it was all worth it. 

One Saturday morning, Jeremy's mum had a bad cold and she wanted to stay in bed. 

"How can I help her?" Jeremy thought to himself. Then he got a good idea. Mum did    the    laundry on Saturdays. "Why don't I wash my own clothes this week?" He ran to his room to get his clothes. He put them into the washing machine(洗衣机). Finally, he closed the door and pressed the big button "START". After the washing was done, Jeremy took out the clothes. Everything seemed clean, and he felt very happy. Then he took a pink T-shirt out of the washing machine. 

Jeremy stopped. "____I don't have a pink T-shirt, " Jeremy said to himself. He reached into the washing machine to take out more clothes. There were more pink clothes! What happened?

The last thing was a bright red sock. When he picked it up, the sock turned his hand red. "The sock turns all of my white clothes pink, " Jeremy thought. He didn't mind having pink clothes. 

The next day, Jeremy wore his new pink T-shirt to breakfast. "Where did you get that T-shirt?" Mum asked. "It looks nice. " Jeremy smiled, "I made it yesterday when I washed the clothes. It was an accident(意外), but I like it. " "I like it too, " said Mum. And they began their breakfast.
