Jenny was my grandmother's sister and she was an amazing woman. She was born in 1901 and 1 in 2000. It was a pity that she didn't live to celebrate（庆祝）her 100th birthday, 2 she had a good,long life.
She had already been a professional 3 before many women had jobs.She taught in Africa for many years. Then she moved to Malaysia and taught English there for a few years. At that time,people didn't tralvel 4 a plane, so she had to travel there by ship. It took her three months 5 from England to Malaysia in those days. In 1947,she traveled by plane for the first time. This made traveling 6easier and quicker. She continued to teach around the world until she was 75 years old.
Jenny really loved teaching and she was also good at telling stories. I always loved to hear her 7 her stories. They were8 interesting that I would like to listen to her when I was free. It was9 that she could remember everything even though she was so old. I think it was because she never stopped 10.My grandmother's sister was really an amazing woman.

    I always believed in UFOs, but I didn't see one. My husbanddidn't believe in UFOs before that 1.

    Last Friday night, he drove home 2 work. He drove near a gas station(加油站) when he saw a bright light. It looked 3 a light. It was low, and it wasn'tmoving. He didn't 4 toomuch about it. He thought maybe it was a street light, so he 5 up farther and then the lightwent off. But a few minutes later, it was on. He stopped the car. He 6 and looked around, but saw nothing.

    After a short whilethe 7 wason again. He got on the car and drove another 2 miles to our house. He sat in the8 fora few minutes thinking of what he saw. He got out of the car and the moving lightwent off. Then when he looked back, he could 9 it in the sky. Then he was 10 it must be a UFO. He went intoour house and told me about it.

My brother Claudio is one of the people I love most. He is smart and always helpful, taking care of me and our younger sister, Sarah. The day when he left home to go to college, he taught me the importance(重 要性)of being a man. 

It was a sunny Saturday morning in August. Sarah was playing the piano. The sound woke us up as usual. In the kitchen, there was a surprise for Claudio—his favorite pancakes. 

Mom gave us a big smile and told us to sit down for the breakfast. Happily, we sat down at the table and had breakfast. After breakfast, Claudio called me to his room. "It's time, brother, "he said. I thought he was saying that it was time for him to leave the house, but in fact he told me that I should do more for Mom than before after he let. 

I thought about his words twice and then understood everything. When he left home, I would learn to take care of the family just as he did before. That day I learned about family, love and duty(责任)

One day, a fox {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (walk) through the woods when he saw some tasty grapes hanging from a branch high above him. He was quite{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (hunger).

At first, the fox tried to jump in the air and grab the grapes. But with each jump, he was just inches away{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the grapes. As he jumped again, he was getting much{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (far). He tried taking a few steps back and doing a running jump at the grapes after{#blank#}5{#/blank#} short rest--but again, he could not reach them. He even tried to climb the tree to reach the grapes, but his paws (爪子) weren't strong enough for him{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (pull) himself up the tree. How he wished he had the same paws {#blank#}7{#/blank#} a monkey!   He sat and stared at the grapes{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (angry). Just then, a bear happened to walk by the fox. He saw the fox looking at the grapes. The fox turned to him and said, "Never mind. Those grapes probably don't taste good anyway." And with that, he tried once more and {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (leave). The bear reached up, grabbed the grapes and ate them. They were, of course, quite delicious. It seemed that the fox decided that the grapes must be bad simply {#blank#}10{#/blank#} he couldn't have them.

Last week I went to an art show. A painting caught my eyes. To my amazement(惊奇), it was painted by Steven, one of my {#blank#}1{#/blank#} Then many things about him came into my mind. Steven was from a poor family. His parents{#blank#}2{#/blank#} not afford to buy him some basic things that he needed. Once our school provided gloves for poor children. I put Steven's name on the list. He was so {#blank#}3{#/blank#} when he received a pair. He loved to wear them and they were always {#blank#}4{#/blank#} than anybody else's. Steven had a gift(天赋) for painting and he could {#blank#}5{#/blank#} understand what I described in class. But he didn't have money to buy the paper for painting. So sometimes, I {#blank#}6{#/blank#} him some. He practiced hard. And I often showed his paintings of the class. He was greatly {#blank#}7{#/blank#}.

 One day just before the summer vacation, he came to {#blank#}8{#/blank#} some art books. When the new term began, he showed some of {#blank#}9{#/blank#} paintings to me. I felt shocked. They were very good. Then we talked a lot. He said he would keep on. Later he was admitted(录取) to a famous art university. After graduation, he had many difficulties, but he never gave up. He was always {#blank#}10{#/blank#} his best to improve himself. His hard work and strong mind led to his success.
