Most Chinese eat three meals a day. In the past,they had breakfast in the morning, a big lunch at noon, and a light supper at night.

    But now both men and women in the big cities have to work on the weekdays. So they often eat bread, eggs, milk and porridge forbreakfast at home. For lunch, Chinese take-away food is very popular. They often have a quick lunch in their workplaces.

    After work in the afternoon, they have more time for supper. They usually eat a big meal at home. Wives often cook meat, fish, chicken, vegetables and rice for their family.You can also find dumplings and noodles on the table in most families of northern(北方的)China.

A Concert

    The Newtown School will have a concert on Children's Day. Ann, Ken and David will play together in the concert. Ann will play the piano, Ken will play the guitar, and David will play the drums. Mocky will not play in the concert, but he will go, too.

    All the children and their parents are at the concert, but David will not be there because he is not well today. Who will play the drums? Ken and Anil are worried. But Mocky can play the drums. Believe it or not, he can play really well.

    Tomorrow is Amy's birthday. Her father is making a cake and her mother is buying a present for her. Daming is making a birthday card for Amy. Lingling is buying balloons. They're very beautiful. Amy is going to have a birthday party with her friends tomorrow. She is very happy.

B: They are small. They are yellow. They're chicks.
