Technology is a double-edged sword(双刃剑). Liu Haoxuan, 13, used to spend all of his free time on his mobile phone. As a result, his1 went down and he often failed the exams. Although Liu has dropped his addiction(瘾), he still feels lost. "It's like something is2 without my phone," he said. Smartphones can make our lives more convenient, but they can also cause3 for people like Liu who has no self-control(自控力). 

Some schools have set4 rules to stop students from using their smartphones too much. However, Sun Zhenyao, a 14-year-old boy, thinks smartphones are5 in students' lives. "In my class, students are asked to upload (上传) their math homework on Dingding. We can't6 the task without it." Sun said. 

Maybe the best way to solve the problem is to teach kids to use their smartphones7 . For example, Liu and his classmates have agreed to8 their phones while studying and ask their parents before using them. More importantly, "real world" activities like painting, hiking and riding bikes can make students9 about their smartphone. So schools and parents can have more 10 for kids to enjoy rather than just ban (禁止)smartphones.

Making a good job choice is almost as good as choosing a good life. So, choosing a job is one of the most important decisions to make in life. For my job, there are three important things that I will consider. 

The first one is that I must work in an area I like, and I think it is the most important to me. Someone once said, "If you find a job that you enjoy, then you won't have to work another day. "I would like to become more creative through my work. I would also like to be the most valuable member there. All this is possible only if I like what I do. 

The second one is that the area of my work must lead me to solve some new and hard problems. I would like to stay in the same area for a long time. In order for this to happen, the work must provide enough problems. More than just working to live, I enjoy making a difference and trying my best to make progress. I would also like to be well remunerated for my hard work, so I can lead a comfortable life with this hard-won money. Then I can provide the best for my family. 

The third important thing is that I would like to work in an area that would help other people. The work in my mind is in fields such as the army(陆军部队), training or management. In such areas, I can help to develop the abilities of others and bring out the best. It would be a most satisfying job to help young people to become the best that they can. When I become old, I would like to look back with a great sense of satisfaction that thousands of people have become better people through my work. 

I accept the idea that no one should make a choice of a job suddenly and quickly. He or she should decide what he or she wants to be in the long run. Then, he or she should decide how he or she works towards it. It's important to study the proper courses, read the books and speak to knowledgeable people in that field before making a job choice. A good choice will most probably lead to a better life. 

 From an early age, we were taught that if we wanted to be successful, we had to study hard and get good results at school. In fact, good students may just end up doing jobs they don't like, and some even lead an unhappy life. Why is it like that?

 In some parents' eyes, school grades matter most for their kids. In reality, there are many things to consider besides school subjects. For example, how to be a happy person, what to do to keep healthy, and how to get along well with others. That is to say, school is not just enough if you want to have a great life.

 Doing well in school is different from doing well in life. Studies show that people who failed at school may not end up failing in life. You may have already known that some famous people, like Thomas Edison and Steve Jobs, didn't do very well at school or even failed to finish school. In fact, there are a lot more than just the great people who are successful in life without finishing school. They catch every chance to learn and finally make it to the top.

 Life is really a long lesson, so long that you can't define(界定) a person's success by just one part of it. If you have already finished school, keep learning because what you have learned at school will never be enough to live a satisfying life. If you are still studying, whether you are good or bad at school, don't take your school results too seriously as long as you have put your heart into it. Keep learning to make the most of your talents improve. That's how you can live a happy and successful life.
