Many people have forgetfulness (健忘). And, yes, I was one of those forgetful people before. So I've had to develop some kinds of ways to improve it.

How do you know you are forgetful?

You know it: when people ask whether you've found the answers they wanted, but you can't recall them; if you often have trouble remembering where your keys are, or where you have parked your car in the parking lot; if you miss appointments (约定); or if you can never remember a person's name even a few seconds after being introduced.

The following are some of my tips for fighting with forgetfulness.

Can't find the keys. Right now get a small bowl (碗) and set it on a table in your kitchen. When you come back home, always put your keys in this bowl. The "key" to remembering where your keys are is to always put them back in the same place at once ever}r time you come back home.

Can't find your car in the parking lot. I kept running into this problem until one day I solved it quite simply. Now I always park in the first or second row(排) to the left of the entrance (入口). That way, when I come out, I naturally start walking toward where my car is parked because it has become a habit.

A、On the first or second row to the left of the entrance. B、On the last row to the left of the entrance. C、On the first or second row to the right of the entrance. D、On the last row to the right of the entrance.

If you are comfortable showing off your moves on the dance floor, you may know what to do if or even a bit of moshing (狂舞)! But if they ask you to join them for a street dance, which moves would you make? Of course, you might be a little confused.The truth is, street dance is a mix of several forms of dance, coming from different periods of time and even different countries.

The name "street dance" is connected to those forms of dance which are popular in the streets, parks, clubs and alleyways (小巷) of cities like London and New York. But it covers everything from break dancing (霹雳舞) to body popping (震感舞), body locking (锁舞) and house dancing (浩室舞).

There are very few rules. Street dance is often improvised (即兴表演) and done among friends while listening to a mobile music player.Itis open to anyone of any age, anywhere and any time.

Because it is a social activity, it has provided many young people, especially those in poorer city areas with a strong gang (帮派) culture, helping these young people getting into trouble. For example, the street dance group—Diversity, was formed when a group of brothers and friends from East London and Essex got together. The group has achieved fame because of a popular television talent show—Britain's Got Talent. For others, the inspiration may be a local street-dance club led by a professional instructor (教练), or a local group of friends who get together just for fun.

No one can deal with all the problems on his own. We all have to ask for favors(寻求帮助)sometimes. But it can be a difficult thing to do, even when you ask a good friend. So how can you ask for a favor and be sure to get a positive response(正面回应)?Here are some suggestions.

Be a nice person. When you ask someone for a favor,you're really asking the person to go out of his or her way to help you. Show the person that you understand he or she is doing something especially nice for you. If people think you're friendly, they're more likely(可能的)to want to help. {#blank#}1{#/blank#}And,of course, a smile goes a long way.

{#blank#}2{#/blank#}How do people respond to requests(请求)like this one,"Hey,Mike,lend me your carl"? They probably refuse. How can you avoid this problem? Be especially careful with how you show your request. For example,say,"Mike,would you mind doing me a favor?" Mike will probably respond like this," Maybe. What do you need? "{#blank#}3{#/blank#}People are more likely to agree to help you when they know the whole story.

Show your respect(尊重). If someone agrees to do you a favor,allow the person to choose when he or she helps you. Be respectful of the other person's time,and try not to ask for too much. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}Don't make a habit of asking for favors, and always make sure you're ready to do someone a favor in return.

A. Now you have his attention and can explain the situation.

B. Choose your words carefully.

C. If someone refuses your request, you should accept the answer politely.

D. Thank them sincerely (真诚地)when they help you.

E. Try your best to help the one who did you a favor once in your way.

It's never too late to learn. 66-year-old Xu Baokun is a good example to show that. The grandma learned to play the drums and got popular online because of her drum playing (打鼓).

Xu comes from Guangxi. She is a farmer. When she was young, she worked in the fields (田地) all year round. But, with age, she had some health problems. That stopped her from going here and there. As a result, she lived a boring life.

Xu's son teaches others music in Guangdong Province. Last year, he brought a drum set (架子鼓,爵士鼓,套鼓) home for Xu to play. At first, Xu thought playing the drums was too noisy. But after watching her son play a few times, she became interested in it and decided to learn to play.

Because Xu knew nothing about music, ▲ . She spent lots of time practicing playing the drums every day. Now she can play many songs. What's more, she is healthier than before thanks to drum playing.

Xu's son put her videos (录像) of drum playing online. To his surprise, Xu quickly got popular. Now Xu plays at some weddings (婚礼) and the TV station. She is anxious before she plays in front of others, but when she sees the drum set, she knows she will do a good job.

"Age is just a number," Xu said. "I'll learn more beautiful music to bring happiness to more people."
