Hello, my name is Kate. I have studied in a nursing school for three years. During my second month of the school, our teacher gave us a small test. I answered the questions very quickly until I read the last one,“What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?” I thought this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman a few times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50s, but how could I know her name? I handed in my paper, leaving the last question blank.. Before class ended, one student asked if the last question would count toward our grade. “Of course"said the teacher,“As a nurse, you will meet many people. You should care all of them, even if al1 you do is just to smile and say "hello"I've never forgotten that lesson. Later I learned her name was Dorothy.

An unforgettable lesson

Kate would never forget a small test when she studied in a nursing school. In the test, she found the last{#blank#}1{#/blank#}  surprising. The question was “What is the first name of the cleaning woman in the school?” Kate thought it must be a{#blank#}2{#/blank#}   . So she finished all the questions{#blank#}3{#/blank#}  the last one. .However, later she found that she was completely{#blank#}4{#/blank#}  . Her teacher said that the last question was not a joke. He told his students that it was necessary for a nurse to care about{#blank#}5{#/blank#}  person they met.

    It's Sunday today. Mrs. Jackson was cleaning the rooms when her husband came in. "Go and cook lunch, dear," said the man. The woman had a look at the clock on the wall and said, "It's only a quarter to ten. We never have lunch before eleven."

    Mr. Jackson said, "There's a big football game on TV at half past eleven." After lunch, Mr. Jackson was sitting on the sofa. The game was nice and he hoped his team would get the gold medal. His five-year-old daughter Emma came in and put her hand on his face. "Oh, how cold your hands are!" the man said, watching the game. "Go and ask your mummy to warm them. "Why is it so cold, daddy?" the girl asked. "Because it's winter now." He said. " Why is it cold in winter, then?" the girl asked. "I never asked so many questions when I was small!" he answered. "That's just why you can't answer it," said the girl.

The drones are able to fly at speeds of up to 60 mph and when they are  within a minute of the destination(目的地), the doctors receive a text and wait nearby. The drone drops off the package and then returns to its home.

    A 92-year-old hunter in Virginia was lost and had to spend a night in the woods. The police searched for him all night but failed to find him.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} Also, drones helped firefighters know about the fire in wildfire fight.

    A group of friends from Italy wanted to do something different for their vacation. They decided to drive through Australia in a jeep. The journey was a real adventure(冒险) but sometimes the long hours on the road made them tired.

    It was Bill's tum to drive. Tony, Allan and Jeff were sleeping. Bill was thinking of the cool drink and shower in the next town when suddenly something jumped in front of the jeep. Bill tried to stop the jeep, but it was too late, he hit it. When the four friends got out, they saw a kangaroo lying on the road. They thought it was dead. What could they do? It wasn't their fault(过失).I was an accident.

    The friends were sad, but they wanted to have a photo of the kangaroo to show everyone back home, Jeff got his camera, and the others picked up the kangaroo and stood it up against the jeep. The boys decided to dress up the kangaroo. They put a cap, sunglasses and a jacket on him. They took several photos with the kangaroo.

    Suddenly, to their surprise, the kangaroo moved its head moved its body, and jumped away with Bill's cap, Allan's sunglasses, and Tony's jacket-with his passport and one thousand dollars.

    Lu Xun is a well-known writer. He has black straight hair and he has black beard. He was born(出生)in Zhejiang in 1881. He died in Shanghai on October 19th, 1936.

    Michael Jackson is a famous singer in the USA. He is of medium build. His hair is curly. He is of medium height. He is famous for his dance. It looks like walking in the space(太空).

    My wife and I spent two weeks in London last year. We went there in autumn. We think it is the best season to visit England. The weather is usually good and there aren't too many travellers in October.

    We stayed in a small hotel in the West End. It was convenient as we did most of our sightseeing on foot. Taxis were too expensive, we couldn't understand the bus routes, and my wife didn't like travelling on the underground. She said it made her feel sick.

    We went to look at the places which all visitors visit. We saw Buckingham Palace. We went shopping in Oxford Street and spent too much money. What we liked most, of course, was going to the theatre. We didn't have the chance to see such wonderful plays at home. A lot of people say English food is very bad. We didn't think so. It's true that most of the restaurants are French or Italian or Chinese, but we had some very good meals.

    In fact, we enjoyed our holiday so much that we have already booked(预订) again for this year. We're going to take an umbrella. I'm sure we'll need it sometimes.
