Liu Tao: What's the time now, Yang Ling?

Yang Ling: It's four thirty. It's time to go home.

Liu Tao: It's raining(下雨).Where is my umbrella?

Yang Ling:Look!There's a red umbrella under the desk.

Liu Tao:That isn't my umbrella.

Yang Ling:There are four umbrellas near the blackboard. Which one is yours（你的），Liu Tao?

Liu Tao:The blue one. Thank you, Yang Ling.

Yang Ling:Shall we go home together？

Liu Tao:Great!Let's go.

My House

    I am Jenny. Look! This is my house. What's in the house? Let me show you the rooms. This is the kitchen. Here is the bathroom. That is the living room. Here is my bedroom. That is Danny's bedroom. His bedroom is very nice.

    [1] The Greens are on holiday at the beach. Mr. and Mrs. Green are under the umbrella. Ann and Tom are walking on the beach. They are very hot. [2] They want to eat ice creams. Tom likes chocolate ice creams and Ann likes mango ice creams. [3] Mrs. Green likes melon ice creams. [4] Now Mr. Green is buying (买) ice creams in a shop. [5] Mr. Green is back (回来). Ann and Tom are happy. They are running to Mr. Green. One of the ice creams falls (落下）on the beach.[6] Ann and Tom are eating ice creams. But Mrs. Green has no ice cream. She is angry. Look at the little dog. It is eating an ice cream. It is happy. It likes ice creams, too.

    Ben and Jim are twin brothers. They are nine. They are pupils. They study in Yuxin Primary School. They are in the same class. Everyday they go to school and come back together.

    Their teacher, Mrs. Green, says to the pupils. Please write a composition (作文) 'My Mother'.

    Jim is a good boy. He writes the composition at home. But Ben plays football with his friends. The next day Mrs Green says to the class, “I read your compositions today. But two of yours are just the same.” Ben stands up and says, “Jim and I are twins. We have the same mother.”

    Sam is a student. He has only four lessons every day, but he goes to school six days a week. The following is his school timetable (时间表).

    Marie Curie was a Polish scientist. She was born in1867 and was firm and fantastic. She discovered a kind of new element-radium with her husband. And she got the Nobel Prize twice. People think that Marie Curie was the greatest woman scientist of the twentieth century.

    Marie and her husband believed that there was an element and they wanted to find it. So they worked hard in the lab all day long. One night, Marie Curie went to the lab. In the dark, she saw the element was blue and beautiful. They discovered radium in 1898!

    In 1903, Marie and her husband got the Nobel Prize. They got seventy thousand francs. Marie just took a little money to go on with her study. She gave the money to others and helped the poor. Marie didn't care for the money or gold medals. She only cared about the science study.

    Marie Curie worked very hard for long. She was sick. In 1934, Marie Curie closed her eyes forever.
