What does it mean to be green? {#blank#}1{#/blank#} It also means taking special steps to protect the environment. Buying a green product is a small step everyone can take. Deciding whether a product is green, however, isn't always easy. Here is what we may keep in mind.

The materials of a product usually come first. What is it made of? Are there any harmful chemicals (化学物) in it? Green products are made of more natural materials, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

Packaging (包装) is important. How is a product packaged? Is it over packaged? We'd better choose glass, metal and paper packaging, as these can be reused or more easily recycled.

Look into what the company tells us about their product. It's easy to say that a product is "green" or "all natural", {#blank#}3{#/blank#} That's why some information about a product should not be completely believed. After all, companies try to make us believe that their products are environmentally responsible.

Location (地点) matters. Where was a product produced? Where are we buying it? It is a good idea to order food directly from local farmers, and shop at markets near our houses, because we can go there without driving a car.

{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Better than buying is choosing to leave an unnecessary product in the store. It sends a message to the producer, keeps money in our pockets, reduces (减少) waste and keeps the planet healthy.

Speak English to your friends. You can make friends with someone who is good at English and speak English with him or her as much as possible. You'd better make friends with people whose native language is English. Ask your friends to correct your mistakes when needed.

Study or travel to an English-speaking country. Of course the best way to improve your English is to live in English environments. You will find yourself surrounded with the language everywhere. It can be a more difficult and expensive choice, but you may find it to be a very valuable and helpful experience.

I found it hard to communicate with my mother. Relations between us became difficult. 

One day I ran away from home and stayed outside for a few hours. When I returned home at night, I saw all the pain, anger and disappointment on my mother's face. We knew that we were in great need of talk. We agreed to havebreakfast together the next morning. In the end, we decided to go to a restaurant.

On our way to the restaurant, I noticed my mother had two notebooks in her hands. I asked her what they were used for. She explained to me that sometimes it was easier to write our own feelings than talking about them. We should write down our feelings.

Our first topic was"Why am I so angry?" I wrote a half page, and my mom filled up nearly three pages. I saw the tears run down her face while she was writing. I never realized anyone could hide so much anger. After we finished writing, we exchanged our notebooks. As soon as I started reading my mother's words. I began to cry and so did she. When we finished reading, we discussed our feelings. Finally, it felt like all the anger inside me went away from my body. Our talk helped me realize so many things I had never thought of before, not only about my mother but also about other people.

My mother and I continue using our notebooks as a way of communicating. We know that no matter how we feel about each other, our notebooks are a safe place to express our feelings. We have come to an agreement that we write"I love you" at the end of each other.

Sunny beaches and a sky-blue sea coast make Honolulu a best place for holiday. Honolulu is not only a place of beautiful sights, but also a wonderful place of shopping. The world's largest open-air shopping centre, Ala Moana Centre with many international products is located here. However, it might take tourists lots of time to get there because of the traffic jam and the lack of subway system in Honolulu. Except for that, it is still worth visiting.

Altay (阿勒泰), a place in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region(新疆维吾尔自治区), has become a famous place for tourists because of a successful TV show named To the Wonder(我的阿勒泰). The show displayed the area's amazing natural beauty, with mountains covered in snow, lakes that are very clear, and old villages that are still in good condition. Altay is also a favorite place for skiing during the cold season. 

People who study tourism say that Altay has always been famous for its beautiful nature. However, ▲because it took a long time to travel there and the cost of staying in hotels was high. These days, the popular TV show has made more people, especially young people, interested in visiting Altay. 

Even though it can be difficult to travel to Altay, experts think that the area could become a great place for tourists. Altay has different interesting things to see in summer and winter, so it can attract visitors all year. The people in charge of Altay are advised to keep making their area better for tourists by improving their tourism and cultural attractions, as well as making the places for tourists to stay and visit better.
