    Venice (威尼斯）is a famous city in Italy (意大利）.It is in the northeast (东北）of Italy. There are many canals (运河）and bridges (桥梁）in  Venice. The canals look like streets. There is much water in those canals. There are no cars in this city, but they have boats. People in this city do not drive cars. They go here and there in boats. We go to school on foot, by bus, by car, by bike or by underground. But the students in this city go to school by boat.

Lisa: I think this book is nice.

    My name is Li Mei. I am from Beijing. There are four seasons in a year .I like all of them. But I like autumn best, because it is the harvest(收获) season. In autumn the weather is windy and cool, and we can go to the farm to help the farmers. The leaves are colourful. I can go for a walk with my friend under the tree.

In Thailand(泰国), there are many elephants. They are very useful. They can carry heavy things, so they can help people do a lot of hard work. And they are very clever. They can act(表演)and dance. They can play with people. Many people go to Thailand to have fun(乐趣)with the elephants. It's very interesting.

There is a festival(节日)for the elephants in Thailand. It is called(被称为)Elephant Day. It comes at the third(第三)weekend of November(11月). On that day, the elephants don't work or act. They can wear colourful clothes and eat nice food.
