Is it difficult for you to fall asleep at night, and almost impossible to get up in the morning? Oversleeping is often caused by a lack of sleep or a restless nighttime routine. Luckily, we can do something with oversleeping.

Hitting the snooze (打盹) button on the alarm in the morning for five more minutes sleep can be a lot of people's choice. However, when you hit snooze, your brain goes even deeper into your sleep cycle. By the time you hit "snooze" several more times, and finally wake up, you will feel even more tired than if you got up with your alarm. So, if possible, instead of having your alarm close to your bed, put your alarm clock somewhere that forces you to get out of bed. Besides, make morning routine positive.  Treat the morning like a positive experience and look forward to your day.

Adjust sleep habits

Do a relaxing activity before bed.  Then, keep your bedroom dark. Put up heavy curtains or shades to block the light from windows. You can also use a sleep mask to cover your eyes to help you sleep.

Talk to your doctor

When everything is tried but in vain, then speak to your doctor about problems with oversleeping. Your doctor may get you tested for sleep disorders.  You may also need to let him know if you are having chronic (慢性的)issues with sleep. It is a serious issue. You should tell him if you suffer from headaches or back pain.

A. Change morning routine

B. Adjust your daily arrangements

C. Stretch, get up, and let the morning light in

D. It can lead to many oversleeping symptoms

E. You may try sleeping pills to get yourselves calm when necessary

F. You need to describe your specific symptoms or sleeping problems

G. This could be a warm bath, a good book, or a quiet conversation with your partner

How to Overcome Depression

    Suffering from depression means more than just dealing with a bad week or even a bad month. Depression is a weakening condition that can make it impossible for you to enjoy your daily existence. To overcome your depression, you have to first determine if what you're feeling are the symptoms of depression.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}While medications can help relieve symptoms, it is still important for depressed persons to understand the disorder and develop healthier strategies for coping with it.

    Keep yourself busy. Fill your schedule with events and activities you love. Keeping a busy schedule will force you to stay active, focused, and thinking about the next thing on your plate. You can draw up a schedule for each day at the start of the week, or simply plan out each day the night before.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Improve your diet{#blank#}3{#/blank#}Even if you're losing your appetite, you need to be determined to eat three meals a day. You don't need to try to lose weight or be incredibly healthy-conscious when you're dealing with your depression, but eating healthier food regularly will improve your mental and physical state.

    Think positively. Being a more positive thinker will help you look at your life and world in a way that fills you with hope instead of despair. To think more positively, you should learn how to recognize your negative thoughts and to fight them with stronger positive thoughts whenever you can. For a jump start, find at least five things to be grateful for{#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Neglecting personal hygiene (卫生) is a common side effect of depression. While you will not beat your depression by transforming your looks, if you take time to maintain your appearance and hygiene every day, you will feel better about yourself. Shower daily, brush your teeth and wash your hair.

B. Improve your appearance.

C Most importantly be happy about every single day.

My first career had been related to audiology (听力学)—one that allowed me to work part time while tending my growing family. But when my children grew up and left home, I found myself longing to be outside, not in a soundproof room in the hospital.

    So I began attending classes at the local university, hoping that might lead me to a new career. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} "What gave you pleasure as a child?" the counselor (顾问) asked. I thought for a while before responding, "Playing outside in the woods." Our discussion eventually led to a second master's degree, this one in zoology, and the job as a naturalist at a state park. I was 44 years old. {#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    But as I climbed the career ladder, my time in the field disappeared. I was chained to a computer screen. In the back of my mind, the career counselor's question sounded again. "{#blank#}3{#/blank#}"

    Shortly thereafter, an opportunity presented itself: a 4-month field research project at a university in the Netherlands. I found that field research allowed me to play in the woods again, but with a new purpose.

    At the end of the project, I was invited to participate in the "sandwich" Ph.D. program, in which students do research in their home country while receiving support and instruction in the Netherlands. I was 60 years old. I didn't think that earning a Ph. D. would further my career. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}

    Still, my colleagues raised their eyebrows. "{#blank#}5{#/blank#}" they asked, "It is all about the journey," I responded.

A. What gave you pleasure as a child?

B. I also went to see a career counselor.

C. What do you intend to do with a Ph.D.?

D. But I wanted to follow my new passion.

E. But when it was no longer right, I changed direction.

F. Can you believe you're actually getting paid to have this much fun?

G. And I was delighted to once again experience the joy of being outdoors.
