Did you hear the song called Heartbeat? It's very {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in the world. Zade Dirani released (发布) this song {#blank#}2{#/blank#} March 15^th 2018 to remember the seven years of war (战争) in Syria. In the song, one of the {#blank#}3{#/blank#} is Ansam. She is a ten-year-old girl. When she was born (出生), she couldn't see {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. But later people found she could sing very well. She sang the song Heartbeat with another 40 children. They all lost their parents in the war. In this song, children hope (希望) they can have a happy {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and there is no war in Syria. But many people lost their homes {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the war broke out (爆发) on April 13^th 2018 again. Everybody hopes the war can {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. We hope all the kids have food to eat. They can live with their parents. They can study in the classroom. They can sing under the trees and swim in the sea.

    We are lucky to live in a great {#blank#}8{#/blank#}, China. Now we have food to eat. We are {#blank#}9{#/blank#} in the classroom. We {#blank#}10{#/blank#} reading books in the library. So we should study hard and love our parents and friends.

Feet are an important part of you. Without them, you couldn't stand up, walk or run around. Your feet work so hard that sometimes they get sweaty (出汗).

Think of a hot summer day when you have been walking around all afternoon. Your feet have been in those trainers for a long time! The moment you take off your shoes, you feel good and relaxed, but your feet smell bad. You may think it is because of the sweat. But in fact, sweat itself has no smell. It's the bacteria (细菌) on your skin (皮肤) that mix with it and gives off a bad smell.

Bacteria love dark and wet places like the inside of sweaty shoes. The sweatier you get, the more bacteria there will be. When you wear your shoes, bacteria will have a good meal on your feet. They eat dead skin cells from your skin and then leave a kind of waste called organic acids (有机酸). These organic acids smell bad. Things will become better if you wear cotton socks.

If you are comfortable showing off your moves on the dance floor, you may know what to do if or even a bit of moshing (狂舞)! But if they ask you to join them for a street dance, which moves would you make? Of course, you might be a little confused.The truth is, street dance is a mix of several forms of dance, coming from different periods of time and even different countries.

The name "street dance" is connected to those forms of dance which are popular in the streets, parks, clubs and alleyways (小巷) of cities like London and New York. But it covers everything from break dancing (霹雳舞) to body popping (震感舞), body locking (锁舞) and house dancing (浩室舞).

 There are very few rules. Street dance is often improvised (即兴表演) and done among friends while listening to a mobile music player.Itis open to anyone of any age, anywhere and any time.

Because it is a social activity, it has provided many young people, especially those in poorer city areas with a strong gang (帮派) culture, helping these young people getting into trouble. For example, the street dance group—Diversity, was formed when a group of brothers and friends from East London and Essex got together. The group has achieved fame because of a popular television talent show—Britain's Got Talent. For others, the inspiration may be a local street-dance club led by a professional instructor (教练), or a local group of friends who get together just for fun.

When we think of Hollywood（好莱坞），we think of films and famous （著名的）film stars.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}Today people make films in other places，too.Not all famous film stars live in Hollywood.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}You can easily see where Hollywood is in Los Angeles（洛杉矶）. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} It says "HOLIYWOOD".The white letters are fifty feet tall.You can see the sign from far away.The Hollywood sign is a famous Hollywood landmark（印迹） Los Angeles.Many postcards show this famous Hollywood landmark.

In the hill（小山）of Hollywood，there is also the Hollywood Bowl.{#blank#}4{#/blank#} It has seventeen thousand seats and a very different stage（舞台）.{#blank#}5{#/blank#} You can listen to all kinds of concerts（音乐）at the Hollywood Bowl.

Plastic pollution is one of the most serious environmental problems all over the world. Many countries are looking for ways to solve the problem. On November 7，2022，China started a"Bamboo instead of Plastic" project with the International Bamboo Organization. It will hopefully reduce plastic pollution. 

Bamboo is a plant of great value，such as cleaning air and preventing soil going away. Unlike trees which usually need a long time to fully grow，bamboo can be put into use in 3 to 5 years. As long as it is protected well

China is one of the countries with plenty of bamboo in the world. The Chinese are a pioneer in the use of bamboo. Zhejiang Province has set up companies to produce and develop bamboo products. Many of them have been sold to over 100 countries. China is also sharing its technology to help India and Japan，the countries which are rich in bamboo. It is hoped that countries around the world will work together for global green development. 

Have you ever noticed how，on a rainy night，all other sounds seem to disappear? The sound of the rain drowns （淹没） them out. And even though the sound of the rain goes on all night，it doesn't keep you awake. Rain is a kind of white noise﹣a steady and unchanging sound. 

White noise is made up of sounds from all the frequencies （频率） a human ear can hear，with the sound at each frequency having the same power. It's called "white" because it is like that of white light，which is a mixture of all the light we can see. 

You might think that a mixture of all possible sound frequencies would be terrible，but it's not ﹣ quite the opposite. The reason for this is that white noise covers other sounds. Think of it like the rain：the sound of one drop falling，like from a leaky tap （漏水的龙头），would be very different and hateful. Two drops would be the same. You could even tell three drops apart. But if there were 5 or 10 or 1，000，you couldn't pick out each drop. They'd all mix into a kind of quiet sound and probably lead you to sleep. 

According to a scientific study，white noise can help treat different problems. It can help worried people sleep and help those who have headaches sleep through their pain. It can be very useful for people with attention problems，who have trouble telling background noise and can't focus on something well. White noise can help them pay attention to something. It can even cover the sound of conversations by doctors and others who want to keep privacy. Who would have thought that mixing lots of sounds together would actually turn out to develop peace and quiet?
