    One day, Mr. and Mrs. White went shopping by car. They stopped their car near a shop. They bought many things and they wanted to put the things into the car. But Mr. White couldn't open the car. A policeman came to help. Then a man came up and shouted(喊)，“What are you doing? This is my car. ” Mr. and Mrs. White looked at the car's number. It wasn't their car.

    Betty is an American girl. She is thirteen. She is in Beijing with her parents. She doesn't know much Chinese. She can't speak Chinese well. Sometimes her friends don't understand her.

    It's Sunday morning. She is going to the zoo to see pandas. She is waiting at a bus stop. At the bus stop she asks a boy which bus to take to go to the zoo. But the boy can't understand her. Then she takes out a pen and a piece of paper. She draws a panda on it and shows the picture to the boy. The boy smiles and then shows her the way to the zoo.

    Our classroom is bright and clean. But it is not big. There are twenty-three desks and chairs in it. They are new. There's a big desk in the front of the classroom. It's for our teachers. There are five pictures on the right wall. There's a map of the world and a map of China on the left wall. Beside the window there's a bookshelf. There are many books on it. They are story-books. Our classroom is very nice. We have our lessons here. We like our classroom.

    Today is Sunday. It's seven thirty in the morning. It's fine. Kate and her parents are going to the Great Wall Kate's father is a doctor. Her mother is a teacher. Now they're getting on a big bus. There are twenty - two people in it. Some are English, and some are American and Japanese. They look very happy. They're going to the Great Wall, too. There are four Chinese on the bus. A young woman, she's a driver. A young man, he's a guide(导游). My father and I are going to the Great wall, too.

Mike: My grandparents live near my home. I often play chess with my grandpa.

John: What about you, Amy?

Amy: I live with my grandparents. I always cook dinner with my grandma.

Lucy: My grandparents live far from my home. I often visit them on holidays. We usually watch TV together.

Linda: My grandparents live in Canada. I often write emails to them.
